Despite earlier pronouncements that he had no plans to see “The Social Network,” reports have it that the Facebook founder and 26-year old CEO Mark Zuckerberg did see the film starring Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake. As a matter of fact, according to reports, Zuckerberg watched the film on the company’s field trip to the movies last Friday.
However, despite insistent prodding Zuckerberg kept skirting questions about his opinion of Eisenberg’s portrayal of his early years. He did say though that he is interested to see what effect the movie, “The Social Network” has on entrepreneurship. He added, he gets “lots of messages” from people claiming that they have been very much inspired by what he has done.
While he refuses to rate the film he did say that, “We build products that 500 million people see… If 5 million people see a movie, it doesn’t really matter that much.”
So it seems there will not be a special “Like” button for The Social Network on Facebook, nor would Zuckerberg be lobbying anytime soon that the movie win the anything at the Oscars.
