In a lottery held last November 2009, the basketball team of Minnesota Lynx received the first overall selection of the WNBA draft 2010. This was followed by basketball teams Sacramento Monarchs, Connecticut Sun, Minnesota Lynx, and Chicago Sky receiving second, third, fourth, and fifth overall selections, respectively. However, since Sacramento Monarchs folded after the WNBA draft 2010 took place, their selection was eliminated.

So what are the first round results of the WNBA Draft 2010? Accordingly, the first basketball player selected was Tina Charles.
