Lady Gaga’s Telephone has been hitting the internet world once again. From the debut of the phenomenal and contorversial video video featuring Beyonce and a leaked copy of the Demo Version of the Britney Spears version, it invades the cyberworld again, and now with stationed armies in Afghanistan. Seems like our soldiers just wanna have fun.
In Telephone: The Afghanistan Remake, troops from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division bare their chests and sport short-shorts for a tribute to the singer in a video that has gone viral, surpassing 2,000,000 hits.
Aaron Melcher, 24, a married soldier from North Carolina, conjured up the remake and convinced his pal, Justin Baker, 23, to perform a Gaga-inspired dance with him.
Baker can be seen wrapped in yellow crime scene tape, as an ode to Gaga’s jail-house dance hit.
“It was for a couple of our friends and family and you can see that it has blown up way more than that…nobody in the video would like any further media coverage.”,Melcher said.
For real, folks—let’s give the guys serving our country a big round of applause for their inventiveness and sense of humor.
