The volcanic ashes coming from the erupted Iceland volcano has been forcing the major airports in Europe to stop operation for a while. With these ashes in the sky, it may cause failures to airplane engines thus putting every flight into a disaster.
Among the airports which has stopped operations is the one in the Krakow wherein President Obama and other world leaders are set to land to attend the funeral of the late President Lech Kaczynski. It has been feared that the funeral might be delayed because of the ash problem around. Despite all of these, the funeral will push through. “The will of the family is that in no circumstances should the date of the funeral ceremonies be changed, and that they should go ahead as planned,” presidential aide Jacek Sasin told reporters.
President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and other Polish authorities died in a plane crash as their delegation attended a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, when thousands of Polish officers were slaughtered by the Soviets during World War II. Investigators has reported that there has been a pilot error in the incident basing on the recordings they were able to find in the black box.
