There has reports that once again this new car by the leading car company has a safety warning. During a test, the SUV has risks for rollovers. It even got tag from Consumer Reports of “Don’t Buy, Safety Risk”. This is because of a problem experienced during its standard emergency-handling tests. “When pushed to its limits on our track’s handling course, the rear of the GX we bought slid out until the vehicle was almost sideways before the electronic stability control system was able to regain control,” it said.
Early Tuesday, Toyota has announced a suspension of the sale of this SUV. “We are taking the situation with the GX 460 very seriously and are determined to identify and correct the issue Consumer Reports identified,” said Mark Templin, Lexus Group vice president and general manager, in a prepared statement.
The car has been released 3 months ago and has obtained a sale of about 5,000 units. The car company has suspended to sale to recheck its safety status and will try to duplicate the Consumer Reports’ test to determine if appropriate steps need to be taken.
