Times Square Evacuated in Bomb Scare Update

Authorities have roped off a portion of Times Square on Friday afternoon after a suspicious package was found.

Times Square has been evacuated after a suspicious package was found near 45th street, a New York Police Department official said.

The package was found near 45th Street and Broadway, officials said.

The evacuation comes six days after an SUV with explosives was left in Times Square resulting in the arrest of Faisal Shahzad.

Traffic cameras showed the four lanes along Broadway cleared and the pedestrian plazas empty as investigators worked to test whether the package was hazardous.

Police said they’d received nearly 150 reports of suspicious packages on Thursday alone, which is up from the average of amount of reports for a typical day. Police usually have about 90 reports on a daily basis, but that number has risen since Saturday’s attempted car bombing.

  1. Funny how a Van full of explosives was found in Times Square only a day before the Stock Market Crashed. Coincidence? Probably not. The only reason Greece is killing our Market is because our Socialists invaded their government years back.

IGA is attempting to bail-out Greece’s dept, which was caused by us, by pulling OUR Tax Dollars and handing the money to them. Perhaps the bomb was meant to complete the process and cover-up any evidence of this Fact?

Before we begin blaming others for what is happening in our Country, perhaps we should blame ourselves.

    Food for thought.
