Thumbelina as one of Hans Christian Andersen’s Stories Commemorated in Today’s Google Doodle
If you go into Google today, a Google Doodle is flashed in replacement of Google’s traditional logo. Surprisingly, there are not only one but actually five images of these Doodle.
Apparently, today’s Google Doodle commemorates Hans Christian Andersen’s 205th Birthday. Hans Christian Andersen is a famous author of various fairy tale stories aimed for children. These are the stories we mostly hear during bed time which are told to us by our parents in order for us to fell asleep.
One of the famous stories of Hans Christian Andersen is “Thumbelina”. Thumbelina is a story about thumb-sized girl and her many adventures before falling in love with a flower-fairy prince same as her size. Other famous stories include “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Little Mermaid”.
Thanks to Google for commemorating another great author in the name of Hans Christian Andersen. I miss some of his stories as I used to hear them when I was still young from my parents. I will tell these stories too to my children in the future. Thanks Hans Christian Andersen for those nice fairy tale stories.Follow us on Twitter to get free up-to-date news via tweets from the World Correspondents, or you can subscribe to us by entering your e-mail below.
