For busy-bees like me, I’m sure the weekend was not even enough to squeeze in every chore that needs to be done nor is it enough to keep abreast with all that is happening in the world o Hollywood movies.
So for those interested to know how the newest theater openers did this past weekend, here is a complete look at the weekend’s top-grossing films, per Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:
- Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, $19 million
- Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, $16.3 million
- The Town, $16 million
- Easy A, $10.7 million
- You Again, $8.3 million
- Devil, $6.5 million
- Resident Evil: Afterlife, $4.9 million
- Alpha and Omega, $4.7 million
- Takers, $1.7 million
- Inception, $1.2 million
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is of course starring Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf. It seems to be a good weekend for Douglas whose throat cancer is said to be responding positively to the chemo and radiation treatments, but more on that in another article.
