Revisit of Week 1 NFL Scores and Standings 2010 – The regular season of the National Football League (NFL) started last Thursday with a kick off match between Super Bowl 2010 champion New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings.

We collected two of the most respective sites namely ESPN Sports and Yahoo Sports to compare their NFL picks and odds on week 1 of the regular season of NFL. Below are their NFL predictions with the corresponding NFL football matches on week 1:

Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints- New Orleans is the NFL pick of both Yahoo Sports and ESPN. This is probably because of the fact that New Orleans Saints is this year’s Super Bowl 2010 champion.

Navy Football vs. Maryland Football Score: NCAA College Football Results – Another football match has just been finished on the line up of NCAA College Football 2010 games. Maryland Terrapins won against Navy Midshipmen at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland with a total score of 17-14.

In the first quarter, Maryland football team quickly grabbed the lead scoring a hefty 14 points while Navy football registered a score of zero. Both Da’Rel Scott and Davin Meggett rushed for 5 and 3 yards, respectively for a touchdown. However, in the second round, Navy football team retaliated and led the match with a score of 7 as against Maryland’s score of zero as Andre Byrd rushed for 10 yards for a touchdown.

In the third round, Navy’s football team lead continued scoring 7 points as against Maryland’s score of another zero as Ricky Dobbs rushed for 1 yard for a touchdown and Joe Buckley managed to make an extra point. In the fourth quarter, Maryland managed to score 3 points as Travis Baltz made a 24-yard field goal.

With a total score of 17 points, Maryland Terrapins football team won against Navy Midshipmen. Congratulations to the football team of Mary Terrapins!

Texas Tech Football vs. SMU Football Scores: NCAA Football 2010 Results – Texas Tech Football team defeated SMU Football in one of the latest matches at NCAA Football 2010. Held at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock Texas, Texas Tech won against SMU Football with a final score of 35-27.

During the first round, Texas Tech took the early lead scoring 7 points as against SMU Football’s score of zero. Taylor Potts passed complete to Lyle Leong for 2 yards for a touchdown and Matt Williams made an extra point completing Texas Tech’s lead.

In the second round, Texas Tech once again led the game scoring 14 points as against SMU Football’s 7 points. That gave Texas Tech a total of 14 points ahead of SMU Football during half time. Taylor Potts once again completed a pass to both to Lyle Leong and Detron Lewis for 6 yards for a touchdown. For the team of SMU Football, Zach Line rushed for 2 yards for a touchdown while Matt Szymanski made an extra point.

In the third round, for the third time, Texas Tech further advanced its lead scoring another 14 points as against SMU Football’s score of 10. The highlights of the third round included Taylor Potts passing complete to Lyle Leong for 4 yards for a touchdown and Eric Stephens rushed for 3 yards for a touchdown for the football team of Texas Tech. Meanwhile, Kyle Padron completed a pass to Cole Beasley for 19 yards for a touchdown and Matt Szymanski made a 24-yard field goal for the team of SMU Football.

In the fourth and final round, things changed and SMU Football took the lead this time scoring 10 points as against Texas Tech’s score of zero. Matt Szymanski’s 61-yard field goal and Kyle Padron’s completed pass to Cole Beasley for 13 yards for a touchdown pushed SMU Football’s score.

With a total score of 35, Texas Tech Football team won the match against SMU Football. Congratulations Texas Tech!

Alabama Football 2010: Crimson Tide Won Over Spartans 48-3 – Alabama Crimson Tide faced San Jose State Spartans today, September 4, 2010 which kicked off 7pm Eastern Time. Live at the Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Alabama Crimson Tide won against San Jose State Spartans with a final score of 48-3.

During the first quarter of the football match, Alabama Crimson Tide took the early lead scoring 14 as against San Jose State Spartans’ score of 3. For the football team of Alabama, Trent Richardson rushed for 4 yards for a touchdown while Greg McElroy passed complete to Marquis Maze for 48 yards for a touchdown. Both touchdowns were seconded by Jeremy Shelley who made an extra point. Meanwhile, for the team of San Jose State, Harrison Waid’s 31-yard field goal scored them 3 points.

In the second quarter, Crimson Tide once again took the lead scoring 17 as against the Spartans’ score of zero. Trent Richardson, once again scored another goal as he rushed for 39 yards for a touch down. The other highlights of the second quarter included A.J. McCarron passing complete to Julio Jones for 29 yards for a touchdown and Cade Foster’s 41-yard field goal.

In the third quarter, Alabama Crimson Tide, for the third time led the match again scoring 10 pushing its lead to a total score of 41 as against San Jose State Spartans’ total score of 3. Eddie Lacy rushed for 37 yards for a touchdown and Cade Foster made a 24-yard field goal.

In the last and final quarter, team Alabama scored another 7 points as Eddie Lacy rushed for 10 yards for a touchdown. With a total score of 48, Alabama won the match against San Jose which gathered only a total score of 3. Congratulations to Alabama Crimson Tide!

Crimson Tide Coach Nick Saban expressed his gratitude for his team saying: “I was really sort of pleased with the effort, the attitude, the intensity, the way our team was ready to play and focused on what they need to do to try and create an identity for themselves.” Meanwhile, Spartans Coach Mike MacIntyre said: “I was impressed with their runners. Their big tight ends hurt us a few times. They overwhelmed us on the edge there. They had a few runs off the edge when we were right there and they just knocked us off.”

Nebraska Defeated Western Kentucky 49-10: NCAA Football 2010 Results – The 2009 championship shy Nebraska Huskers defeated their opponent in a stunning fashion 490-10 during the opening games for the NCAA College Football 2010.

Martinez ran for 127 yards on only seven carries and threw for another 136 on 9-of-15 attempts. Rex Burkhead, Austin Jones and Rey Helu Jr. also added scores for Nebraska. This is Nebraska’s final season as a member of the Big 12.

Bobby Rainey racked up 155 yards on 30 rushes and scored the lone touchdown for the Hilltoppers (0-1). Western Kentucky went without a win in their first season as a full-time FBS member last year. To date they hold the record in NCAA football history for having the nation’s longest losing streak at 21 games.

Meanwhile, Martinez is please with the result of his first football game and you can see tat in his comment, “I was just really excited to be able to get out there and play my first college football game”

Meanwhile, Penn State recorded its first win this season, and was led by freshman quarterback Rob Bolden. Bolden threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns in his collegiate debut, leading Penn State to a 44-14 rout of Youngstown State in the 2010 opener for both schools.

Liverpool vs West Bromwich Premier League 2010 Result and Highlights – Liverpool triumph this time over West Bromwich at the Premier League 2010 in Anfield. Fernando Torres gave Liverpool their one and only goal and this had been enough for Liverpool to take home the win.

Despite the win, it seems that Liverpool had been sluggish throughout the game especially on the first half. Thanks to Liverpool’s Roy Hodgson who started the awakening for Liverpool and played seriously in the game.

The Liverpool attack on the second half was led by Roy Hodgson together with Dirk Kuyt and Steven Gerrard. On the 65th minute however, Fernando Torres made the difference. Torres volley from 18-yards after 65 minutes that separated the two sides.

Liverpool’s score could have been increased if not for a clear penalty which was turned down in the 84th minute. The supposed penalty arises when Gonzalo Jara blocked Torres’s goal bound shot with his hand, before West Brom had James Morrison harshly red-carded two minutes later.

Fernando Torres which belongs to the World Cup 2010 champion, Spain took his goal with aplomb after good work from Kuyt on the left allowed him the space to cross to Torres, who was waiting on the edge of the box, to volley low beyond the diving Carson.

NFL Preseason 2010: Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals Results – The NFL Preseason 2010 football match between Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals is currently being held at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The game kicked off 7pm tonight, August 15, 2010.

A lot of NFL spectators are looking forward Denver Bronco’s latest draft pick, Tim Tebow who will make his NFL debut tonight, pushing incumbent Kyle Orton. As you may have known, he just recently had a weird haircut resembling that of Robin Hood’s Friar Tuck. However, since he is wearing a helmet in the football field tonight, that won’t be visible.

Meanwhile, for the Cincinnati Bengals, both Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco are playing for the team. Their first-unit offense didn’t show much to the country last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Hall of Fame game as they lost 16-7.

The match is currently on its third quarter with both Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos scoring a tie of 17-17. During the first quarter, Denver Broncos scored 14 as against Cincinnati Bengals’ score of 0. However, for the second quarter, the Bengals took the lead by scoring 17 while the team of Broncos just scored 3.

Chivas vs. Manchester United Results: Chivas Won at Score of 3-2 – The soccer match between Chivas vs. Manchester United held at the Omni Life Stadium in Guadalajara has just ended and it was Chivas who won the game at a score of 3-2.

Chivas’ Javier Hernandez was declared as the star player. More commonly known as Chicharito, he led Chivas to a score of 1-0 against Manchester United in the 8th minute after hitting a home ball from Adolfo Bautista. However, that lead did not last long as after just two minutes, Manchester United’s Chris Smalling also scored a goal pushing the score to a tie of 1-1.

Before the end of the first half of the game, in the 38th minute, Chivas took the lead again through Adolfo Bautista scoring a goal as he finished off a ball pass from Hector Reynoso with a right-footed shot. The first half ended with Chivas leading at a score of 2-1.

The second half of the game began and Chivas for the third time scored another goal through Hector Reynoso in the 59th minute pushing a two-point lead against Manchester United as he headed a corner kick from Michel Vazquez. The last goal went to Manchester United in the 80th minute through Nani as he scored on a service from Tom Cleverley with a touch of his right leg. Congratulations to Chivas!
