Oregon vs Arizona State NCAA Football 2010 Scores and Game Recap

Oregon vs Arizona State NCAA Football 2010 Scores and Game Recap – Arizona State Sun Devils almost defeated number 5 Oregon Ducks in the last game of the NCAA College Football Week 4. However, Oregon proved to be more experience as they emerged victorious, 42-31.

Oregon had been trailing to Arizona until nearly the end of the first half. Arizona scored the first touchdown of the game with 7:25 in the first quarter through Deantre Lewis rush for 53 yards. Oregon however, made two successive touchdowns to end leading at the end of the first quarter, 14-17.

The Sun Devils showed full determination during the start of the second quarter scoring two touch downs and one field goal. Steven Threet made two successful passes to Mike Willie and Kerry Taylor for successful touch downs and then Thomas Weber made a 34 yard field goal.

With just about two minutes in the second quarter Oregon Ducks released a barrage of touchdowns which would total four touchdowns bringing the score to 42-24. Arizona made a touch down once again with 2:25 on the third quarter. Steven Threet pass complete to Mike Willie for 15 yards for a touchdown and Thomas Weber extra point was good. The third quarter ended 42-31 in favor of Oregon.

Everyone expected a good fourth quarter rally by Arizona State or more touchdowns from Oregon however, if there were excitement in all the three quarters the fourth was simply quite.

Darron Thomas of Oregon for me was the football player of this game. Thomas excellent passing made possible 3 of the 6 touchdowns of Oregon.
