NFL Draft Picks 2010: Tim Tebow Joins Denver Broncos

The first round of 2010 NFL took place today, April 22, at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Tim Tebow, the Gators college quarterback sensation was picked 25th overall and was able to convince  the Denver Broncos to join their team. The Denver Broncos received the pick from the Baltimore Ravens for three draft picks in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Tim Tebow has been in the eyes of critics with his arm strength and throwing motion. In a televised interview, Tim Tebow said: “I’ve just been working on drills constantly — three workouts a day trying to get better and get a team to believe in me. Not everybody has to like you. Just one team has to like you.”

Denver Broncos also picked wide receiver Demaryius Thomas of Georgia Tech with the 22nd NFL Draft pick, and moved back into the first round by trading three picks to Baltimore for the Ravens’ first-round pick.

After Tim Tebow’s pick for Denver Broncos, he spoke at a news conference saying “I’m just excited to be a Bronco!” Denver Broncos’ coach Josh McDaniels confirmed the 2010 NFL trade and he hoped that there would also be a lot of excited football fans in Denver with Tim Tebow joining their team.

NFL Draft 2010 Schedule: What Time is NFL Draft Start Time?

The NFL Draft 2010 starts today, April 22, 2010. It is the yearly event for which 32 participating National Football League (NFL) teams select their very own football players to join their teams. This selection is vital to the success of these NFL teams as they will compete against each other to get the much coveted Super Bowl 2011 championship trophy to be held next year on February 6, 2011 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

According to their schedule, the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft will be held today April 22. Its start time will be at 7:30pm Eastern Time while the second and third rounds will take place on the following day, Friday, April 23 starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Finally, the fourth and final round will be held on Saturday, April 24 commencing at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. TV Coverage will be provided by both NFL Network and ESPN.

2010 NFL Draft Results: Ron Gronkowski Joins Patriots

The Round 2 of the 2010 NFL Draft results were out. Among the various NFL trade in various teams, Patriots selected Rob Gronkowski with the 42nd pick overall after trading with the Raiders.

An emotional Ron Gronkowski broke into tears after he heard the good news that he will be joining Patriots. He then put the Patriots helmet on and started dancing in excitement.

Rob Gronkowski played for Arizona Wildcats for two years garnering 75 passes for 1,197 yards and 16 touchdowns. Last year, he didn’t play in the entire NFL season due to a surgery to fix a herniated disk and repair nerve damage in his back.

Ron Gronkowski was considered by to be among the most complete tight end in the 2010 NFL draft. In fact, he was twice named the “John Mackey National Tight End of the Week” before.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder NFL player said: “I saw that New England was right behind Baltimore, so I saw that I had a pretty good chance of going right in that row, going to Baltimore or New England. I’m happy that New England traded up right in front of Baltimore and took me. I think it was an excellent choice, and I think it’s going to be great to be part of such a great organization.”
