NCAA College Football: Fresno State vs Boise State

Last week the Fresno State Bulldogs nearly defeated then number 21 Nevada. Nevada escape by a thin margin of a single point. Last week’s game show the power of the Bulldogs and how they can rally their way into any team. The game last week was a trade of opportunities but in the last quarter it was a chilling end. Could the game today be the same as last week and would Fresno State be the first team this season to hand over a defeat to Boise State.

Boise State Broncos is still undefeated at 9-0. Many says that the BCS rankings is being unfair to the team since they should had been ranked number 1 already. Despite the number 4 ranking the team is very eager to maintain a clear and perfect season and go to the BCS and become this years champions.

Hungry for a win against a ranked team, the Fresno State Bulldogs are determined to break the hunger for a win. Their last win against a ranked team was in the 2004 Computers Bowl in Boise where they defeated then number 18 Virginia. Last weeks loss to Nevada was their 12th consecutive loss to a ranked team.

It was also way back in 2007 when Fresno State lost all four road games against Boise State by an average of 34.5 points. The last time Fresno State won against Boise State was in 1984. In the past nine meetings between these two teams, the Bulldogs only won a single game and that is the 27-5 victory in 2005.

Can the Fresno State Bulldogs pull a win this time around? Will we see the first loss of Boise State Broncos? Watch out for game updates for the Fresno State vs Boise State NCAA football game.

NCAA College Football Week 12: Ohio vs Temple

We are now on the NCAA College Football Week 12 and to beep up the week we have a game between two top Mid-Atlantic Conference opponents, Ohio Bobcats vs Temple Owls. Both teams are 5-1 when it comes to their conference standings and it is about time that one of them bows down to the other. It seems however that neither of them want to budge and thus we are seeing a very tight game between the two here at Lincoln Financial Field.

The first quarter is over and so far we have one touchdown from Ohio’s Vince Davidson who rushes for 5 yards for the touchdown. Matt Weller made the extra point. The first touchdown of this game was made with 5:38 on the first quarter. Temple made their own touchdown with 13:07 in the second quarter through Matt Brown rush for 1 yard and Brandon McManus made the extra point.

These two teams have quite a long winning streak. Ohio has its record at six straight wins while Temple has four. Both of these teams also failed to win against a ranked opponent however that does not matter as long as they become champions in their conference. Then number 23 Penn State defeated Temple on Sept. 25 while then number 2 Ohio State defeated Ohio on Sept. 18.

There will be one more game for both of these teams on Week 13 in which most of the other NCAA football teams ends the NCAA football 2010 season. The final games will be on November 27 but for the two it will be on the 23rd and 26th respectively. Temple Owls will face Miami (OH) Redhawks while Ohio Bobcats meets Kent State Golden Flashes.

Standby for more updates on the Ohio vs Temple NCAA football game on Week 12 of NCAA College football.

GAME UPDATE/S: Ohio Bobcats leads 14-10 at half time after Boo Jackson pass complete to Riley Dunlop for 16 yards for a touchdown and Matt Weller’s extra point. Temple Owls made a field goal courtesy of Brandon McManus from 45 yards.

Virginia Tech at North Carolina NCAA College Football 2010

When Virginia Tech Hokies started the season they suffered two immediate defeats from then number 3 Boise State, 33-30 and James Madison, 21-16. Everyone thought that Virginia Tech will be one of the lowest performing teams in the season, however they will prove others wrong as those two defeats had been the only defeats they had so far. In fact they have defeated then number 23 North Carolina State and at present they are on a record seven winning streaks.

Meanwhile, North Carolina Tar Heels proved their football teams tenacity when they delivered an upset to then number 24 Florida State, 37-35. They trailed during the first quarter but then they scored 21 points during the second quarter and never trailed again.

Virginia Tech remains to be the only unbeaten team in the ACC and their opponent today, the North Carolina Tar Heals are just two games behind them. A win by North Carolina today will give them a big chance to catch up and perhaps get a chance at the conference title.

In order to defeat Virginia Tech, North Carolina should play on their weakness. Virgina Tech’s main man Wilson will be out and thus they need a lot of good plays from Tyrod Taylor. Taylor completed 15 of 25 passes for 137 yards with one touchdown and one interception last week.

Can North Carolina derail the strong showing of Virginia Tech or will they be the ones derailed? Standby for game updates from the Virginia Tech vs North Carolina NCAA football game.

Utah and Notre Dame on NCAA College Football Week 11

Notre Dames players, left to right, quarterback Nate Montana, quarterback Dayne Crist, and receiver Deion Walker bow their heads during a moment of silence for Declan Sullivan before the start of a NCAA college football game against Tulsa, Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, in South Bend, Ind. Sullivan, a 20-year-old Notre Dame junior from Long Grove, Ill., was killed Oct. 27 when a scissor lift in which he had been videotaping football practice toppled over. (AP Photo/Michael Conroy)

Utah Utes was undefeated until last week when they were badly beaten by then number 3 TCU, 47-7. It was a game which had been very lopsided and the only touchdown the Utes managed to get was 11:12 on the fourth quarter from Matt Asiata 19 yard pass from Jordan Wynn. All the time it was TCU who was making the offensive strike. Today, the Utes wants to strike back and it seems that Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be the victim of the revenge of Utah.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish was not a very strong team during this season. Their last game against Tulsa seems to be a giveaway game, as the Tulsa defeated them 28-27. Today they will be having a new quarterback through freshman Tommy Rees who will be replacing Quarterback Dayne Crist. Crist suffered a season-ending knee injury during last weeks loss to Tulsa.

The Utah Utes have everything in their side in this game against the Fighting Irish. The last time their opponent has won against a ranked team was when they defeated then number 19 Penn State 41-17 on Sept. 9, 2006. After that Notre Dame has lost 11 consecutive games to ranked opponents.

Can Notre Dame make a crucial win tonight and snap out of their losing streak. They are 55-11-1 against opponents making their first trip to Notre Dame Stadium and have won 28 of 35 after an off-week since 1984.

Let us take a look on the possibility of an end to the Notre Dame dynasty as we await the game update of the Utah vs Notre Dame NCAA football game.

Iowa at Northwestern NCAA College Football 2010

Northwestern maybe unranked but they can defeat an Iowa team who had been dwindling their offense and defense in their last couple of games. Iowa Hawkeyes was nearly defeated by Indiana last week 18-13 and three weeks ago they were defeated by Wisconsin, 31-30.

Northwestern has three more games left and two of those against ranked teams in the Big Ten. Aside from the game today they will be facing another Big Ten powerhouse Wisconsin on November 27. The Wildcats has the power to defeat rivals in the Big Ten but it seems they are executing the play at a bad timing and are allowing other teams to outmatch them. Their first game against a ranked team, then number 7 Michigan State resulted in defeat 35-27.

The big lesson had been shared to Iowa when they were defeated last year by the same team they are facing today. Way back November 7, 2009, Iowa plays host to unranked Northwestern and during that time they were undefeated at 9-0. During the football game Iowa committed four turnovers and lost their quarterback Ricky Stanzi for the rest of the regular season to an ankle injury. Northwestern defeated them 17-10.

Between Iowa and Northwestern previous games, the later has won four of their last five games however, the visiting team has won the last four. I am predicting that Northwestern will once again defeat Iowa in this game.

As we await the game updates from the Iowa vs Northwestern game let us watch this Video Blog as Northwestern’s Justan Vaughn talks about suffering a concussion in last week’s game.

Indiana at Wisconsin NCAA College Football 2010

Number 7 Wisconsin Badgers will be hosting the Indiana Hoosiers in a game today for Week 11 of the NCAA College Football. Indiana is looking for its first win in the Big Ten while Wisconsin is avoiding unnecessary defeats since they will not be facing any ranked teams in their next games. A lost by Wisconsin will greatly cost them if they want to be on top of the BCS rankings.

Wisconsin seems to be a favorite in this game against Indiana, however, in order to get to the top of the BCS rankings some of the top teams should lost any of their next game. Without the top teams losing a game it would be impossible for Wisconsin to be on top.

Wisconsin Badgers have made a pure statement in their last three games victories which ended with double digit advantage over their opponents. The Badgers are averaging 35.4 points and on pace to break the school record of 34.3, set in 2005.

If the Hoosiers want to win this game, Ben CHappell should step up and go beyond his limits. Chappel went 27 of 46 for 222 yards last weekend and leads the Big Ten with 296.3 passing yards per game. If he will inspire other members of the team then they might just pull an upset against Wisconsin. Indiana is 10th in the Big Ten and their threat to Wisconsin seems to be quite very remote.

When it comes to personal head-to-head between these two teams, Wisconsin leads Indiana in Madison 20-8-1. Today will be the first meeting of these teams at Camp Randall Stadium since a 33-3 win for the Badgers on Oct. 27, 2007.

So who will win? Will it be Indiana or Wisconsin? Watch out for game updates later in the game.

Ball State at Buffalo NCAA College Football 2010

Ball State Cardinal visits Buffalo Bulls in todays NCAA College football game. The match will be held at the UB Stadium in Buffalo. Both teams are in the tail end of the Mid Atlantic Conference (MAC) – West. This game is a bit of a feel good game for whoever wins the battle.

Ball State is currently at 3-7 and 2-4 MAC while Buffalo is at 2-7 and 1-4 MAC. These two teams are not going into any championship game this season but for morale and pride wise each one want to win the game badly and add it to their winning list.

Buffalo has an advantage when it comes to passing yards while Ball State has power when it comes to rushing yards. In other statistics both of these teams are balanced. If there will be a difference it will be the fact that Buffalo have not tasted a win in their last four games while Ball State had just won last week in an overtime against Akron.

Who will win in todays game between, the Ball State Cardinals and the Buffalo Bulls. Watch out as we update you on this game.

NCAA Football 2010: Grambling State vs Texas Southern Live on ESPN Classic

Two non-BCS ranked team are battling it out today on the football field, Grambling State vs Texas Southern. These two teams had shown their power and game effectiveness on the field. Grambling State Tigers holds the top spot in SWAC while the Texas Southern Tigers is at second place. Two tigers roaring it out to be on top and to take at least the conference championship.

Zoltan Riazzo from Grambling State started the scoring with a 39 yard field goal while Texas Southern had been fueled by the first quarter touchdown made by Marcus Wright. Wright rushed for 4 yards for a touchdown and Robert Hersh made the extra point. This opened up an arely lead by Grambling State during the first quarter of the football game which continued into the second quarter with two more touchdowns from Edward Patterson for 95 yards and Derrick Wilhite for another 39 yards from an interception.

It seems like Grambling State is determined to stay as the top SWAC team and improved their game to 9-1. An improvement in their standings might mean an official acceptance as a BCS team but that would be a thing to be decided by the NCAA College Football management. Technically, the Grambling State Tigers game are superb and their 8-1 standing is already very impressive.

With the hassle and power being shown by Grambling State in this game against Texas Southern it seems that they will win the game. Texas Southern has to show some good defense and prevent their opponent from getting all those touchdowns and field goals. Grambing State opened their third quarter with another touchdown and TExas Southern can’t do anything. Anthony Carrothers rush for 1 yard for a touchdown and again Zoltan Riazzo made the extra point.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Grambling State vs Texas Southern NCAA football game on ESPN Classic.

Miami (OH) vs Akron Live NCAA College Football Coverage

Can Akron Zips come out of their zipping record of 0-10? Akron has yet to win a football game this season. They have already failed to grab the opportunity in some few close games like their match with Gardner-Webb were they lost by just a point, 38-37. Just last week Akron once again faltered and was defeated by Ball State, 37-30. These defeats came in two overtimes and are chances that they should have grabbed.

Miami (OH) is 6-4 and is second in the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC) with 5 wins and just a single loss. They are also on a two games winning streak after defeating Buffalo and Bowling Green. Two more games for Miami (OH) and another season is over. They will be facing Temple next week.

Akron on the other hand is a team yearning for a win and today they are hoping to get that but can they expect a win when all they can manage is a short of winning comeback. This team is above 100 in all aspects of the game and seems to really work hard in finding their rhythm. They might win perhaps not this season but soon enough,

Stay tuned for updates as Miami (OH) faces Akron today. What do you know there might be a surprise.

Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma Football 2010 Live Coverage on ESPN3

What happened to Oklahoma Sooners? They are supposed to be one of the best teams in the NCAA College football this season but it seems they are sleeping on their games and they are letting other teams get to their weakness. When the BCS rankings was first released, Oklahoma was number 1 but then just a few days after that, they were defeated by then number 11 Missouri 36-27. Then, when every one though they have recovered an unranked team routed them last week.

Texas Tech Red Raiders had just surprised everyone when they defeated then number 12 Missouri, 24-17. Now fans are asking if they would follow their neighbor teams success in defeating Oklahoma Sooners. Texas A&M managed to deliver another upset to the Sooners via a 33-19 lopsided win against the Sooners. Perhaps Texas Tech had studied the two defeats of Oklahoma and might find the whole in their opponents game.

The Red Raiders has success in defeating ranked teams and in finding where to strike these teams. Will the Sooners be able to prevent another upset and at least raise their bid for the BCS this year. OKlahoma needs to defeat all of its remaining opponents. They will be facing Baylor on Nov. 20 and then Oklahoma State on the 27th. If they manage to win all these games then perhaps they might be on the BCS.

During the NCAA Football 2009 season, Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated Oklahoma Sooners 41-13 in their game at Lubbock. In that game Potts completed 35 of 53 passes for 388 yards and two scores, and Batch ran for a career-best 136 yards with two TDs.

Can the Sooners avenge their defeat last year and prevent further slide in the rankings? Well, we will see that later today as we tuned in to Texas Tech vs Oklahoma on NCAA College football.
