If swirling reports prove to be right on the money, Lindsay Lohan will remain in rehab until her court appearance later this month. But for how long she stays in rehab after that will probably be determined by the judge.
According to the sources, the plan is for Lindsay to stay at the Betty Ford Rehab Clinic at least until her next court appearance before Judge Elden Fox October 22.
Judge Fox will then have documents from the doctors at Betty Ford to evaluate Lindsay’s problems and progress to determine how much longer she stays in rehab or if jail will better serve the purpose of straightening her up.
Naturally, Lindsay and her family would like the judge to determine and rule that Lindsay would be better off in rehab than in jail. If that’s the case then her rehab stint will certainly be extended.
If I were Judge Fox, I would order Lindsay off of those prescription pills until she gets her supposed medical condition re-evaluated. It seems prescription pills have become the “acceptable” way for drug dependents to get their fix, and it has resulted to a lot of celebrity deaths as well.
As you might already know Lindsay Lohan is back in rehab – after failing two court-mandated random drug tests – and this time her rehab stint might actually be working.
All is quiet in the Lohan front because she is not allowed to use her phone and, I assume, even her laptop to keep in touch with her loyal fans through social networking sites such as Twitter.
According to a source, the actress, who checked in at the Betty Ford Center to get treatment for substance abuse problems, is “only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends.”
“Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively e-mail her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter,” the source continued.
The phone policy is standard for all Betty Ford patients, so the troubled starlet can “concentrate on herself,” the insider explained.
Before her previous 13 days stint in jail and three weeks in a treatment facility for her parole violation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest, Lohan also spent a “short time” in the treatment facility established by lawyer Robert Shapiro – but was reported to have been kicked out because she was “running the place”.
Michael Lohan, yup Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father, confirmed on Wednesday that he has met with an attorney regarding his plans to file a petition to establish a conservatorship for his daughter in light of her recent legal troubles – very much like what Britney Spears had in place when she was on her downward spiral.
Michael insinuates that he is the one who truly cares about Lindsay’s well-being, saying,
“Since Dina and [manager Lou Taylor] are going to try to be co-conservators, I had a choice of fighting it or petitioning for the purpose of appointing two conservators who don’t have an interest in Lindsays money, but rather her as a person and human being.
He added, “Dina and Lou have their hands in it, not their hearts.”
However, neither Dina nor Taylor have mentioned plans to petition for a conservatorship.
Brother, Michael Lohan Jr., 22 and an Ithaca College grad, also has his sister’s back best interest in mind. He chimed in, “We—her mother, brothers, and sister—have been there for Lindsay every step of the way, despite what trashy news reports, and will continue to give her our support and strength during these arduous times.”
Lindsay Lohan is once again free as a bird. The price of her freedom came at a hefty $300,000, but I’m sure she would rather shell out even her bottom dollar instead of spending more time locked up.
So, late Friday night she was once again whisked away from her “home away from home”, that is the Century Regional Correctional Facility, to the disappointment of the paparazzi thronged outside.
Judge Elden Fox did keep his word to order the incarceration of Lohan without bail. However, his ruling was overturned by Judge Patricia Schnegg, assistant supervising judge for the Los Angeles Criminal Courts, who reviewed, considered and stamped her approval on Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley’s writ of habeas corpus filed on Friday evening.
Schnegg overturned the earlier ruling of Judge Fox and set the amount after Lohan’s attorney had argued that it was unlawful for the actress to be remanded without bail for 30 days while awaiting her Oct. 22 probation hearing.
Judge Patricia Schnegg, however, set a few rules for Lohan to follow: She will be required to report back to authorities within 24 hours to be fitted for yet another SCRAM bracelet and she is to “stay out of places where [alcoholic beverages] are the chief item of sale.”
Lohan is also not allowed to possess any drugs or socialize with any known drug users, and she must be willing to submit to a law-enforcement search at any time, “with or without a warrant, probably cause or reasonable suspicion
A Mumbai-based yogi claims that he can cure Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and other Hollywood celebrities from addiction and other health issues, including terminal illnesses, without any drugs or fees. He got me at the “no fees” bit… but for those interested in the details, read on.
Apparently, Vir Balahara, who is reverently known as “Virjee”, is not an ordinary yogi. He is a retired director general of income tax of India and was an atheist for most of his earlier life until he found the “inner-light” when he was around 40 and started exploring it further.
He said that after 23 years of self-exploration, he felt ready to take on his mission and “new awareness” globally to help the sick.
Yogi Virjee has supposedly studied the health issues of Hollywood celebrities and says that he can treat drug, alcohol and smoking addictions, emotional and physical breakdowns, weight and diet related problems, aging-related complaints, etc. without the use of drugs.
He also claims to be able to help achieve anti-aging and fitness goals. More importantly, he does not charge any fees for his treatment as he believes in “selfless action” advocated by ancient Sanskrit scripture Bhagavad-Gita.
Virjee has thrown an open invitation to Lohan, Hilton and other Hollywood celebrities to visit him in Mumbai and promises that they will return to Hollywood healthy and vibrant. His technique is said to be complex, but based around pranayam (exercising control over the process of breathing).
So how about it, Paris? Lindsay? Bruno Mars (and all others afflicted with any type of addiction)? All you’ll need is a plane ticket to Mumbai.
This is not a case of re-posting an old article nor is it déjà vu… except maybe for Lindsay Lohan herself.
Not even a month had passed after she got the go-signal to leave the rehab center and she is headed back in again – to jail. Her probation was recently revoked and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed a random drug test, not once, but twice!
Lohan first tested positive for cocaine and then failed another random drug test for ampethamines the next time around. She is due to appear back in court on Friday, and until then her arrest warrant has been put on hold. Looks like she is headed back to the slammer as soon as the judge’s gavel lands.
Judge Elden Fox is expected to mete out a 30-day jail time for Lohan.
I hope this stubborn actress, who adamantly refuses to get her life back on the right track, gets to serve all 30 days because she deserves every single minute of it. Failing a random drug test once should have made her do a reality check already, to fail a second one is really asking for trouble with the law again.
Well, since it seems her wild ways and addiction are more deeply-rooted than what a 14-day jail stint and 23 days of rehab can cure, she really deserves to stay in jail longer.
Lindsay Lohan’s Probation Has Been Revoked – A judge has revoked Lindsay Lohan’s probation Monday and the actress was ordered to appear in court on Friday, a Los Angeles court spokesman said.
Lohan tweeted Friday evening, “Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.” She added “This was certainly a setback for me, but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.”
The actress acknowledged through Twitter postings Friday night that she failed to a recent drug test. Because of this, she was prepared to appear before judge Fox next week. However, according to Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini, Judge Elden Fox signed a bench warrant for Lohan’s arrest but is holding it until a hearing at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
She spent 23 days in a court-ordered drug rehab program last month. This followed a 13-day jail stint imposed when a Los Angeles judge ruled that Lohan violated her probation.
The judge has warned Lohan that any failure could send her back to jail. Lohan’s supervised probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction
requires frequent drug test.
Judge Fox, who took over Lohan’s case when she was released. She imposed a new set of rules for Lohan to follow until November. It included weekly counseling sessions for alcohol and drug rehabilitation, random drug tests and behavioral therapy.
Last July, Michael Lohan’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom sent a letter to the California attorney general asking for an investigation into “the unscrupulous doctors [who] over prescribe medications ” to Lindsay Lohan.
The attorney general’s recourse was to refer the matter to the medical board for it to launch an investigation. So now, doctors who have prescribed a variety of medications to Lindsay Lohan are currently being investigated by the Medical Board of California.
It will be recalled that prior to entering UCLA, Lindsay had various prescriptions for Dilaudid, Adderall, Nexium, Zoloft, Trazodone and Ambien. This allowed her to bring in and take the said medications even when she was “languishing” in jail.
Her father, Michael, claimed that the said medicines were the ones Lindsay was addicted to and are the very same ones that are to blame for her “behavior”.
Michael might have been proven correct because UCLA determined Lindsay had been misdiagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the prescribed medicines she should not have taken.
One point for Michael… still, attempting to sell Lindsay’s personal diaries is despicable.
There is just no love lost between estranged father and daughter, Michael and Linday Lohan, respectively. While it seems that Michael is the only voice of reason in Lindsay’s life after that interview of Dina Lohan who appeared to be needing a reality check, Lindsay has slapped him with a cease and desist “request” through her attorney.
The object their legal bickering these days are some personal diaries allegedly written by Lindsay during her stint at the Cirque Lodge Rehabilitation Center in Utah in 2007.
According to Lindsay’s cease and desist request, Michael was trying to sell the said diaries which Lindsay did not even know was in his possession.
In the document sent to Michael’s legal representative Lisa Bloom on August 23, the actress warns she will seek damages for ‘grave invasion of privacy’ if her father sells any of her personal belongings.
Tsk, tsk… no love lost I tell you. And for Michael, if he indeed tried to sell his daughter’s personal diaries – appalling.
A recent video from infowars.com released a video for everyone to be made aware of their certain concern. Lindsay Lohan may indeed be truly poisoned, but everyone else is or is easily exposed to this harmful product.
Infowars.com made it a very smart strategy to use Lindsay Lohan’s notoriety and vulnerability in the news lately to trigger mass curiosity on what could possible have poisoned the already troubled young woman – Lindsay Lohan.
And for the question “Why Lindsay Lohan and not some other celebrity?” Well, that is up to them. What do you think?
