The Woodstock Fair is still a GO despite the little rains and wind expected from Hurricane Earl. The Woodstock Fair has been celebrated over the past 149 years. This year’s celebration is a BIG one as it is the 150th anniversary of this fair!
Anyway, a lot of things are going to happen today as you will get to witness live the Original Stars of American Bandstand and Barry & Holly Tashian – Country Bluegrass. Over the next few days, you would get to see other performances by Blue Oyster Cult, Restless Heart, Little Texas, Dennis DeYount – The Music of STYX and of course, the spectacular 150th Anniversary of Woodstock Fair Celebration Parade. The fireworks show will be expected at 8:30 pm so don’t forget to come early and take your spots if you want to enjoy the fireworks visually or if you want to capture them in video or photos.
The organizers are expecting a little bit shift in the weather but they said that in worst case scenario, they might just shut down some areas but it is on a day-to-day basis. If the rains are light then the fair is still a go.
Fair opens at 9am and closes at 9pm except on Monday where they usually close at pm. Tickets to the Woodstock Fair costs $12. Ages 65 and above could get in for $8 and children under eleven years of age are free. You can visit Woodstock Fair’s official website for more info
