Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos Scores and Results: Colts Defeat Broncos 27-13 – Both teams are looking for a 2-1 finish by the end of Week 3 of the NFL and this game might just be one of the most exciting games this Sunday.
In the end however it will be Indianapolis Colts who scored the win, 27-13 against the Broncos.
Quarterback Kyle Orton of the Denver Broncos is definitely having a great start this season and he might contribute well in this game. Watch out for Peyton Manning because he might just stop any hopes for the Broncos. Manning is 7-2 in his career against the Broncos (including the playoffs).
In the actual game Saturday Manning and his team proved to be more powerful and greater at offense. Manning threw for three touchdowns even without another star player Anthony Gonzalez and Pierre Garcon. The Broncos did well on Saturday, in fact they outgained the Colts (2-1) by more than 100 yards but it seems they failed to make it to the score board.
The Broncos are now 1-2 and perhaps the death of teammate Kenny McKinley on Monday still has some psychological effect on them.
Kyle Orton made a career-best 476 yards on 37-of-57 passing during the game.

Denver Broncos’ Kenny McKinley Died – On Monday afternoon, Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in a Colorado home. His death appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities reported.
According to a statement made by the Arapahoe County sheriff’s department, deputies discovered a male in the second-floor master bedroom of the home and determined that the said male was dead. Even though the death of Mr. McKinley appears to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot, the investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
McKinley is 23 years old. He was chosen by the Broncos in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL draft from the University of South Carolina. He attended South Cobb High School in Austell, Georgia.
Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels will appear to the media on Tuesday about McKinley’s death. He said: “Kenny had a promising future on the football field, but more importantly, he was a great teammate whose smile and personality could light up the room. This is a tragic loss for our football team, and his family is in all of our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
Broncos President and CEO Pat Bowlen also released a statement on the Broncos’ website saying “everyone with the Broncos is shocked and saddened by the loss of Kenny McKinley. He was part of the Broncos family and will be greatly missed by our organization. My most heartfelt condolences go out to Kenny’s family and friends.”
The New England Patriots could no longer wait for running back Laurence Maroney to live up to expectations. After being drafted 21st overall in the 2006 NFL Draft out of Minnesota, he was supposed to be the Patriots’ No.1 running back.
In 2008, Maroney played only three games when he suffered a shoulder injury. A thigh injury caused him to miss the season opener for New England that they won against the Cincinnati Bengals 38-24.
In his four years with New England, Maroney compiled a total of 2,430 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also missed games in each season due to injuries. Maroney missed two games in 2006 due to a rib injury and three games in 2007 due to groin injury.
The trade between the Patriots and Broncos also involved future draft picks. The Broncos got a sixth round pick for 2011 from the Patriots while the Patriots received a fourth round draft pick from the Broncos.

A lot of NFL spectators are looking forward Denver Bronco’s latest draft pick, Tim Tebow who will make his NFL debut tonight, pushing incumbent Kyle Orton. As you may have known, he just recently had a weird haircut resembling that of Robin Hood’s Friar Tuck. However, since he is wearing a helmet in the football field tonight, that won’t be visible.
Meanwhile, for the Cincinnati Bengals, both Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco are playing for the team. Their first-unit offense didn’t show much to the country last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Hall of Fame game as they lost 16-7.

The first round of 2010 NFL took place today, April 22, at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Tim Tebow, the Gators college quarterback sensation was picked 25th overall and was able to convince the Denver Broncos to join their team. The Denver Broncos received the pick from the Baltimore Ravens for three draft picks in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Tim Tebow has been in the eyes of critics with his arm strength and throwing motion. In a televised interview, Tim Tebow said: “I’ve just been working on drills constantly — three workouts a day trying to get better and get a team to believe in me. Not everybody has to like you. Just one team has to like you.”
Denver Broncos also picked wide receiver Demaryius Thomas of Georgia Tech with the 22nd NFL Draft pick, and moved back into the first round by trading three picks to Baltimore for the Ravens’ first-round pick.
After Tim Tebow’s pick for Denver Broncos, he spoke at a news conference saying “I’m just excited to be a Bronco!” Denver Broncos’ coach Josh McDaniels confirmed the 2010 NFL trade and he hoped that there would also be a lot of excited football fans in Denver with Tim Tebow joining their team.
Wide receiver for the Denver Broncos Kenny Mckinley was believed to have shot himself to the head in initial reports. Investigations done by the sherriff’s office indicated that McKinley may have committed suicide as a result of depression.
Kenny McKinley was found dead by two friends on Monday afternoon, prompting them to call 911 for help. Arapahoe County Sherriff Grayson Robinson headed the initial investigation, citing a gunshot wound to the head as the cause of death.
McKinley was known to his teammates as a friendly person off the field with an infectious smile. Nobody expected the 23-year old rising football star would end his life this way. Coach Josh McDaniels mentioned during a news conference on Tuesday that they did not see any suicidal tendencies in the second-year NFL player. The Denver Broncos decided to leave McKinley’s locker intact for the rest of the season as tribute to their teammate.
After playing high school football at South Cobb High School in Georgia, McKinley brought his solid playing credentials to South Carolina in 2005. He was a fifth round pick at the 2009 NFL Rookie Draft.
McKinley played eight games with the Broncos in 2009 until a knee injury sidelined him in December 2009.

Tim Tebow Haircut Photo Generates Reactions – A lot of fans of NFL player Tim Tebow were surprised as they saw their favorite football player with his new haircut. Apparently, the new haircut of Tim Tebow was quite weird as it left a huge bald at the center while the hair around his head were left.
Different reactions were given to Tim Tebow’s new haircut. Some said that it looked like a giant egg in a nest while some said that it resembled Robin Hood’s Friar Tuck. Others claimed it was disturbing on the eye. Anyhow, definitely that new haircut won’t be seen by spectators when Tim Tebow would play for the team of Denver Broncos.
Nobody knows why Tim Tebow decided to have that kind of haircut. Is he just creating some buzz since the NFL’s Preseason is about to start? What can you say about Tim Tebow’s new haircut?
Former Florida Gator football standout Tim Tebow is taking the NFL rookie hazing all in stride. He has won the Heisman Trophy but he remains humble as the new kid on the NFL block, the Denver Broncos’ 2010 first round pick. Tebow has just bared his new “monk” haircut, one that would remind you of the old friars in the time of Robin Hood and friends. Yes, Tebow is cool with his new look, which is very much in contrast with how Dez Bryant is taking all that rookie hazing.
Dallas Cowboys 2010 rookie pick Dez Bryant has openly complained and expressed dislike of how rookies are treated in training camp. At the Cowboys camp, Bryant was asked to carry his teammates’ gear, consisting of pads and helmets.
“I’m not doing it,” Bryant said in an interview with ESPN. “I feel like I was drafted to play football, not carry another player’s pads.”
For Tebow, this is just a small price to pay. A simple haircut that grows back in a couple of weeks earns respect among your teammates, no big deal. Tebow’s contract is reportedly worth $33 million for five years. He stands to earn $8.5 million in his first year.
I would say then that it is such a small price to pay.
