Halloween means the evening before All Saints’ Day wherein most of the people prepare prepare themselves to celebrate by having parties, trick or treating and so many fun-filled activities more. With these, it means a mass of pumpkin pepitas are left to the garbage.
But wait! We all know that pepitas, or what we generally call as pumpkin seeds in English, are edible. The big question is, do you know how to roast them?
Here is a very simple and quick way to roast to perfection:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Farenheit (150 degrees Celsius)
2. Toss in 1 1/2 cup of raw whole pumpkins seeds with 2 teaspoons melted butter and a pinch of salt together.
3. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet
4. Roast for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally.
