Now that LeBron James has decided to play in Miami to pursue the NBA championship, one would wonder what is going on in Cavs owner Dan Gilbert’s mind. He has been vocal in expressing his thoughts about being betrayed and abandoned in the playoffs when the Cavaliers lost to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinal series, 4-2. What he has not talked about was how the Cavs will move forward now that their franchise player is gone. Gilbert may have gotten the surprise of his life that he did not even have a backup plan.
For Cleveland sports fans, this is another blow to their aspirations for another shot at a championship. The Buckeyes have had their share of heartbreak and it is happening all over again, even months before another NBA season begins.
It may take forever to re-build the Cavs into a legitimate contender once again. Now that fans have taken sides, three villains came out of this overly hyped up soap opera in the NBA- Dan Gilbert, LeBron James.
