Penn State Nittany Lions have two more games against ranked teams and the firs one happens today against number 9 Ohio State at the Ohio Stadium. The team is at 6-3 and 3-2 Big Ten while Ohio State Buckeyes are 8-1 and 4-1 Big Ten. Number 11 Michigan State is the football team leader in the Big Ten and with the win today from Penn State they hope to match them and perhaps snatch a championship tilt.

The Nittany Lions have won its last three games and they are in the momentum to take on another win and upset the Buckeyes. Their only loss came from their defeat against then number 18 Wisconsin 31-18. Since then they have managed to win once more and currently are on a two game winning streak.

Penn State’s Joe Paterno which just became the first major college football coach to win 400 games. Paterno is fired up and wants to win his 401st game today. The memories of the team’s loss to Ohio State Buckeyes two years ago was still fresh in the teams memory and they will avoid the same defeat today.

During last weeks game, Penn State trailed for 21-0 during the first half against Northwestern. The Nittany Lions however surprised everyone when they scored five consecutive touchdowns and eventually win the football game 35-21. It was one of the rare occasion where a team managed to really comeback and win a supposed to be lopsided game.

Going by the record Penn State Nittany Lions is 25-2 when it runs for at least 130 yards the last three regular seasons and 2-4 otherwise. Ohio State is 27-1 when it hits triple digits on the ground, and 1-4 when it doesn’t.
