Paul “The Octopus” Chooses Spain In World Cup Final

May 7, 2015 by · Leave a Comment

The two-year-old cephalopod named Paul has become a World Cup phenomenon after correctly predicting the winners of six matches. The octopus has planked for Spain to win against the Netherlands in Sunday’s World Cup final in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The psychic octopus wasted no time in opening the box in his tank which bears the label with the Spanish flag. Staffs at the aquarium help Paul in making his prediction by lowering two boxes of food into his tank.  One box has a Spanish flag and the other bearing the Netherlands flag.

The case which he opens first is declared to be his predicted winner. In this case, he first opened the box with the Spain’s flag.
