Panasonic Joins Handheld Gaming With Their ‘Jungle’

It’s not a surprise at all that something this awesome could be produced by the global technology giant Panasonic. It has announced just recently that it has finally joined the handheld gaming world by introducing their whole new online-focused handheld console called Jungle.

The gadget is not just a gaming console but a mobile device as well which is made specifically for online gamers on the go. Another thing that comes with is that the device has been rumored to be running on Linux. Is that’s the case, Java and Flash games could be present like FarmVille, Runescape and Maple Story. One game that has been announced to be included is the Battlestar Galactica Online.

The device comes along with a full QWERTY keyboard along with what looks like a touch sensitive d-pad, traditional gaming buttons and a high-resolution display. Rumors also came out that it packs a 3G connection allowing gamers to be stuck in Wifi areas. In addition to what has been mentioned, Jungle comes with a mini HDMI port, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It’s not a guarantee that Panasonic could make a breakthrough in this device. In fact, great rival Sony is rumored to be creating a new PSP-Android phone in one. Nintendo has also launched their 3DS earlier this year.
