NIT Bracket 2010 Update: Quarterfinals Round

We’ve been hearing a lot of news about the 2010 NCAA Basketball Tournament and not so much on the 2010 NIT Basketball Tournament.

National Invitational Tournament is a basketball tournament for those teams who did not qualify for the NCAA Basketball Tournament. As of the latest update on the 2010 NIT Bracket, all eight basketball teams who qualified for the Quarterfinals Round have been announced.

Texas Tech, Mississippi, North Carolina, UAB, Illinois, Dayton, Virginia Tech, and Rhode Island all qualified in the Quarterfinals Round. Texas Tech is scheduled to face Mississippi on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 7pm Eastern Time. Later that day, the basketball game match between North Carolina and UAB follows at 9pm Eastern Time.

Furthermore, Illinois is scheduled to face Daytona on March 23 at 9pm after the fight between Virginia Tech and Rhode Island which will be held earlier at 7pm Eastern Time.
