Sportswear and athletic equipment giant Nike has just unveiled its Nike Pro Combat Uniform specially designed for college football teams. These are said to be specially engineered to provide lightweight materials that offer excellent protection and durability to athletes.

Ten college football teams were tapped to wear Nike Pro Combat Uniforms this season.

Virginia Tech is opening their season on Monday wearing black Pro Combat uniforms, a fitting tribute to their very first football squad.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes are once again wearing red helmets reminiscent of the 1960s.

Number one Alabama pays tribute to legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant with a hound tooth pattern.

The Florida Gators feature their traditional blue and orange colors with an alligator-skin theme in line with their Gator mascot.

Rounding up the ten teams are Boise State, Miami, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, TCU and West Virginia. All ten teams are expected to wear their Nike Pro Combat Uniforms at least once this season.
