Nebraska Defeated Western Kentucky 49-10: NCAA Football 2010 Results – The 2009 championship shy Nebraska Huskers defeated their opponent in a stunning fashion 490-10 during the opening games for the NCAA College Football 2010.
Martinez ran for 127 yards on only seven carries and threw for another 136 on 9-of-15 attempts. Rex Burkhead, Austin Jones and Rey Helu Jr. also added scores for Nebraska. This is Nebraska’s final season as a member of the Big 12.
Bobby Rainey racked up 155 yards on 30 rushes and scored the lone touchdown for the Hilltoppers (0-1). Western Kentucky went without a win in their first season as a full-time FBS member last year. To date they hold the record in NCAA football history for having the nation’s longest losing streak at 21 games.

Meanwhile, Penn State recorded its first win this season, and was led by freshman quarterback Rob Bolden. Bolden threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns in his collegiate debut, leading Penn State to a 44-14 rout of Youngstown State in the 2010 opener for both schools.
