Nashville Marathon Runners Diverted Due to Bad Weather

November 20, 2014 by · Leave a Comment

Marathoners for the Nashville Marathon are redirected to another route as the Country Music Marathon in Nashville is on a constant tornado watch over the area of the event. Horns were blown as runners approached the Nashville stadium. Runners were then coerced to be under a 4-hour pace to the half marathon course at the 11.2 mile marker. The LP Field was also opened for runners to take shelter once thunderstorms moved into town. The National Weather Service, race management officials along with Race Spokesman Dan Cruz have issued the tornado watch alert until 2pm.
