Michael Vick has proven in his first three games that Andy Reid made the right decision about him. He has so far led the Philadelphia Eagles to rally against Green Bay, a win over Detroit and a demolition job of Jacksonville on Sunday.
Vick completed 17 of 31 passes for 291 yards that included three touchdown passes and a touchdown of his own to notch a win over the Jaguars, 28-3 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Vick found DeSean Jackson for a 61-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter to make a statement early in the game. He issued two more touchdown passes to Jeremy Maclin, the first one a 16-yarder as time was winding down in the second quarter and the other a 45-yard touchdown at the 10th minute of the third quarter.
Vick rushed and scored his 17-yard touchdown in the last twenty seconds of the third quarter for the final score, 28-3. DeSean Jackson wound up with five catches for 153 yards and a touchdown in the game. Jeremy Maclin had four catches for 83 yards with two touchdowns.
The Eagles are now 2-1 overall but 2-0 with Michael Vick starting at quarterback. This makes the Donovan McNabb-Michael Vick discussion more interesting.
