Miami Heat Overcomes 20-Point Deficit To Beat The Golden State Warriors

The hottest team in the NBA has done it again. The Miami Heat trailed by as much as 20 points against the Golden State Warriors but somehow found a way to prevail 114-107 on Saturday night. After a shaky start this season, the Heat has now won the last 17 of its 18 games.

LeBron James scored 25 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 10 assists for Miami. Dwayne Wade also finished with 25 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and had 8 assists. The third person in Miami’s Big Three, Chris Bosh, scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Warriors scored 36 points in each of the first two quarters to lead 72-58 at halftime. Golden State was then limited to 35 second half points.

Dorell Wright led the Warriors with 30 points 12 of 21 field goal shooting and 6 of 13 shooting from three-point range. Monta Ellis had 25 points for Golden State, Stephen Curry added 15 points and David Lee had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Carlos Arroyo added 11 points for Miami while reserve James Jones added 13 points.

Golden State led by as much as 20 points in the first half but Miami made three straight baskets to trim the lead down to 14 points, 72-58 at the halftime break.

The Heat tightened up on defense as the Warriors missed their first nine field goal attempts that allowed a 15-3 run by Miami. The Warriors were limited to 12 points in the third quarter. By end of the third, Miami was just trailing by one, 84-83.

Chris Bosh gave the Heat the lead for good with two free throws within the first minute of the last quarter. From that point on, it was all Heat as the Warriors never got the lead back again.
