Lindsey Vonn: Won Her 3rd World Cup Title

Lindsey Vonn of USA bagged her 3rd straight overall World Cup Title along with her super G victory. She had her super G 33rd win in Germany. She won the super-G on the 2,180-meter long Kandahar course in 1 minute, 19.30 seconds.She surpassed the 32 super G wins of Bode Miller. “The last few years have gone really well for me. It’s so hard to say whether you’ll be able to win the overall title. To stand here in the finish and have a title in my hand is so rewarding.” Vonn said in the team’s site.

Aside from that, she also won the women’s downhill in the recently concluded Winter Olympics in Vancouver making her the first American who ever got such title. She got a total of 215 points in the standings. “An overall title is one of the biggest things you can win in our sport.” Vonn said.
