Kennesaw State University Is Now All Clear
Kennesaw is one of the best places where you would want to raise a family. It is about 20 miles from downtown Atlanta, providing Kennesaw residents opportunities of the big city. While being part of the Atlanta metro area, it still has the charm of a quiet suburban lifestyle.
On Monday morning, Kennesaw City just made it to the news. Kennesaw State University was evacuated when some relics from the Civil War stored in one of its buildings was found to be potentially dangerous.
Two cannonballs that have been on display for three years now on the third floor of the Social Sciences Building were deemed possibly hazardous. The said items are just part of a collection of relics at the Center for the Study of the Civil War Era.
The building and its surrounding areas were evacuated at 11:30 a.m. As soon as the Cobb County bomb squad removed the relics from the scene, the area was declared safe. By 1:00 p.m., the building was declared safe.Follow us on Twitter to get free up-to-date news via tweets from the World Correspondents, or you can subscribe to us by entering your e-mail below.
