The saying, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” has once again been proven true – by Katy Perry no less.
Perry was said to have been performing for past and present students at Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara, California when she spotted former classmate Shane Lopes in the crowd.
Apparently, Lopes, who was a quarterback on the school’s American football team, was the boy Perry had a crush on as a teenager and who had rejected her.
The “I kissed a girl” singer then took the opportunity to get back at him by calling his name out during a break between songs, saying “Is that Shane Lopes? You were the most popular kid in my class! But you never wanted to date me, it was always Amanda Wayne.”
“Oh yeah, you really chose right honey. What’s up. What’s up now, player? I’m going to dedicate this next one to Shane Lopes everyone,” Perry stated.
She then embarrassed Lopes further by dedicating her song Ur So Gay to him.
Huge mistake Shane… huge mistake. How can you have missed Katy’s errr… fame potential?
