Jim Furyk Wins The Tour Championship Golf Tournament – With a motto just to play golf and not worry about its intricacies and other things, Jim Furyk is now $10 million richer. Furyk wins not only The Tour Championship but also the most coveted FedExCup 2010.

It was a difficult shot for the last putt on the Tour Championship Round 4, Furyk have to make a shot from a bunker so deep he could only see the top of the lip. Luck however was on his side, as Furyk hit a clean shot and watched it head for the flag. It landed inches from the cup and spun to a stop 2 feet away for an easy par and a one-shot victory over Luke Donald.

Furyk with his win of the Tour Championship and the FedExCup 2010 will finally put his name on a trophy with Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh. It is his third victory this season and so far is the best in his career as a professional golfer.

“It just hit me,” said Furyk, who closed with an even-par 70. “I was excited and dropped the putter and … I don’t know. I guess at that moment, you’re not really responsible for what happens next.”
