If you watched the Oscars on Television, you would notice that during the opening of the Academy Awards, hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin just “chatted” with each other on stage, greeted the celebrities that are present during the night and made some jokes about many things. For the entire five to ten minutes that was just what they did. They acknowledged the presence of other celebrities – almost all of them.
This included George Clooney. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were going on with their greetings and all of a sudden Alec Baldwin said “Hey look, there’s George Clooney.” Then Alec Baldwin paused and just stood there like he became a statue for a whole ten seconds with a half-grin on his face. The camera then focused on George Clooney and he just flashed – well, with nothing. George Clooney just stared back at Alec with a 1/4th of a grin but that’s just it. The audience seem to have chuckled a bit. I am not sure if the audience get the joke or they just thought he looked funny startled for ten seconds on stage. Anyway, the representative and other journalists say that George was just in a fine mood and it didn’t really mean anything much. What do you think?
