The President of Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed has been very serious in his promotion of Hinduism lately as has been discussing several things about. First up was he challenged India’s National Museum to have a worldwide exhibit to promote Hinduism.
Then he has condemned the Europeans for discriminating the Roma in the country when it comes to availing primary education. Other thing that he has challenged among Hindus right now is to educate the Americans about their religion. He wants his fellow Hindus to do a better job of educating Americans about Hinduism and remove misconceptions about it.
A survey has been done by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life and it has revealed that four of of ten Americans knew that Vishnu and Shiva were part of Hinduism. He further stressed out that since Hinduism is the third largest religion in the world, Americans should at least know the basic things about it.
He challenged the Hindu temples in USA to form outreach programs in promoting the religion and should not miss any opportunity to inform the seekers about Hinduism. They should put up Hinduism school which strongly promotes the spiritual and moral roots of Hindu children as well as enlighten interested non-Hindus about the concepts and philosophy of Hinduism. For all the Hindu philantropists and charities , he challenged then to produce numerous booklets about introduction to Hinduism and send it to temples for free distribution to all interested.
