Happy Town: ABC’s Latest Drama Series

The latest drama series of the TV network ABC, Happy Town, has finally started. The series is basically about a town which never had a crime for 7 years. The small town, which is located in Minnesota was at peace when suddenly there has been series of kidnappings and murders.

The debut episode which has the title “In This Home on Ice” kicked off yesterday night. Many of the scenes were shot in Canadian communities such as Port Hope, Ontario, Penetanguishene, Ontario and St. Catharines, Ontario.

It was created by Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg. Its casts include Sam Neill as Merritt Grieves, M.C. Gainey as Sheriff Griffin Conroy, Geoff Stults as Tommy Conroy, Lauren German as Henley Boone, Amy Acker as Rachel Conroy, Steven Weber as John Haplin, Ben Schnetzer as Andrew Haplin, Sarah Gadon as Georgia Bravin, Jay Paulson as Eli “Root Beer” Rogers, Robert Wisdom as Roger Hobbs.

The next episode would be entitled “I Came to Haplin for the Waters” which will be aired on May 5. The first 3 episodes will be directed by Gary Fleder. Their official website can be seen here.
