Frank Schleck Won Swiss Tour – “I surprised myself because I’m not a time trial specialist,” said Schleck. The 30 year old Saxo Bank rider finished the race 12 seconds ahead of seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong. “It was a really hard time trial, with nowhere to really rest,” said Armstrong and expressed that the result f the race is a good omen for the up comind Tour de France in July.
“Winning here so close to the Tour de France means a lot to me but my thoughts go to Kim Kirchen and his family who are having a hard time right now,” Schleck added. Armstrong finished second while his Saxo Bank team-mate Jakob Fuglsang, of Denmark, finished third.
