Sharpshooting NBA veteran Eddie House has just joined the Miami Heat bandwagon. After the Heat signed up its big three of Dwayne Wade, Lebron James and Chris Bosh, a solid supporting cast is in order to make them one of the strongest NBA championship contenders next season.
Terms of the two-year contract is estimated at $2.8 million.
This casting coup in Miami has sparked interest in players willing to take a pay cut for an excellent opportunity to put a championship ring on their fingers. Mike Miller, Udonis Haslem and Zydrunaas Ilgauskas already make a formidable supporting crew. The addidion of Eddie House makes them even a stronger threat to the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic for the championship.
House is a catch-and-shoot type of player who can go on shooting streaks. He will be an effective bailout player when the lanes are clogged. Kick-outs to House and Miller will be expected when the big three are heavily guarded down low.
In the 2008 NBA season, Eddie House played with the Boston Celtics shooting 117 3-point shots on their way to their championship. He provided that bailout role for the Celtics big three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. His experience and talent is truly valuable to the Miami Heat campaign.
