Daylight Savings Time 2010 Prompts Time Change in Spring 2010

July 29, 2014 by · 15 Comments

A lot of people in various countries are confused on what will be the standard time in their clocks since Daylight Savings Time has just recently been incorporated.

The idea behind Daylight Savings Time is to conserve energy since upon its implementation, we literally lose one hour during the night. Losing one hour at night can save us energy since we don’t really need much energy in lighting our homes during the day.

So how do you know when will you adjust your clocks to adapt on Daylight Savings Time this year 2010? Accordingly, Daylight Savings Time in the US comes into effect on March 14, 2010 at exactly 2 am in the morning.

In Daylight Savings Time, the so-called “Spring Forward” prompts you to adjust your clocks one hour ahead of the time to lessen the day time of a day. So when your clock strikes at 2am on March 14, 2010, adjust it and make it 3am.

In addition, you need to revert it back to the standard time on November 7, 2010 at the same time at 2am in the morning. Dubbed as the “Fall Back”, clocks will be adjusted one hour more to gain an extra hour. So when your clock striked at 2am on November 7, 2010, adjust it and make it 1am.

I hope you clearly understood how to adjust your clocks in Daylight Savings Time 2010 so as to avoid confusion in your scheduled meetings and conference calls most especially if you are professional which have company or business meetings.

I hope you clearly understand how to be illiterate especially if you are writer which have poor choice and missing words in wasting all time in explaining big article that could be summarized:

    2010/3/14 – Move clocks forward at 0200
    2010/11/7 – Move clocks back at 0200

Wow. Hopefully you get paid by the word because that way your illiterate useless article will have earned you a pretty rubal.

It’s Daylight Saving Time, not Daylight Savings Time. Saving, singular. As in, the intention is saving daylight.

  3. wayne says:

It’s Daylight Saving Time (not Savings). Check your facts before you publish.

  5. EuroCracker says:

It’s “Daylight Saving Time”!!!!!! There is no “s” at the end of “saving”! Do you know what proof-reading is?????

  6. EuroCracker says:

“2 am in the morning”? WTF????

  7. Christopher Lierle says:

There’s so “S” at the end… it’s Daylight Saving, not Daylight Savings.

An idea whose purpose was probably good but continues to create confusion twice a year for most of us. I counted the number of clocks, watches, and other devices available to me with running clocks on them in my house and vehicles and shop. An unbelievable number of 18 (yes eighteen) Where are the lost productivity figures for changing that number of clocks twice a year? I challenge you to count the number you have to change.

I am afraid you have added to the confusion by stating that we should adjust our clocks “to lessen the day time of a day”. And few people will wake up at 2 am to adjust their clocks, preferring to make the adjustment before going to sleep.

Daylight savings time is the Biggest Crock of Shit since ObamaCare and Global Warming.

I accept DST per se, but I don’t like how it has been expanding into March and November. Extended DST is harder on young people who have to wake up very early for school relative to Sun time. This is especially rough in western regions of time zones, high latitudes, and in March and November. Studies found that teens don’t function well if wakened early by Sun time. There are other side effects, like colder when starting up in the morning during much of the year. (I’d like to see a comparison of communities on adjacent sides of a time zone boundary, to see pros and cons of the effects of starting out at different Sun times.) Studies also found that extended DST didn’t really save energy costs, and was driven mostly by political reasons.

Um…if one is going to rip into another writer on this site one might want to proof on’e own writing. The above rant is about 3rd grade level…and a C- at that!

“…if you are writer which have poor choice and missing words in wasting all time in explaining big article that could be summarized:…”

Anyone have the decoder for that sentence? If you’re writing from a glass house, I’d be careful about tossing linguistic bricks at others.

And, this is a free hand-out: It is spelled RUBLE.
