It was such a shocking news to know that long time couple Courteney Cox and David Arquette has been separated. They were able to keep the sad news to the public for months already. A post from TMZ has made mention that their divorce was civil and the couple stayed friends. The couple got 1 child and the couple stated that they remained parents and best friends.

They released a joint statement stating: “We have agreed to trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage.” It also added, “We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply.”

The couple first met in 1995 on the set of Scream and eventually get married four years later. Both are starring in the up coming Scream movie which will be released next year. Cox became famous for her role on the comedy “Friends” and currently stars in ABC’s “Cougar Town.” Arquette on the other hand is an executive producer of that show and has appeared in numerous films, including “Never Been Kissed” and “3000 Miles to Graceland.”

The couple are hoping they would be treated with dignity by friends, family and the media even though they are not together. October 11 Cox was seen moving out from their house in Beverly Hills, California with a friend and spotted to be ring-less.
