Less than a year ago, Christina Aguilera told a magazine that she felt “very blessed” in her marriage to music executive Jordan Bratman. Apparently, that feeling no longer exists as the couple have been separated for a few months.
Although Aguilera, 29 and Bratman (the producer of one of her albums), 33 have not yet decided to formally file for divorce, they are now living apart while trying to see how things will go from there.
A close pal revealed that, “They were very much in love… But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”
The source adds that it was Aguilera’s idea to go on their August trip to Italy to rekindle their relationship, but it did not help.
Despite the separation, the couple remains united in their commitment as parents to son Max aged 2. “He is their main concern,” adds the pal.
“Christina is doing her best to be a great mom…She has a lot to juggle, but she’s learning how to make it work and balance it all.”
