Casey Abrams Eliminated in American Idol 2011, Top 5 Revealed

With the latest elimination round at American Idol 2011 held on the night of April 28, 2011, the top 5 contestants of the prestigious talent search were revealed.  As shown at Fox, American Idol 2011 host Ryan Seacrest announced that Casey Abrams was eliminated from the show as he was joined by Scotty McCreery and Jacob Lusk in the ‘Bottom 3’.

Seacrest started by announcing that Haley Reinhart is safe and later made the announcement in random order, as he called each of the 6 American Idol 2011 finalists one at a time.

Last Wednesday, the 6 hopefuls performed Carole King’s hit songs, where Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart sang as duet to “I Feel The Earth Move”, as rumors have started that the two are doing well as a pair. After Casey Abrams knew he was eliminated, he sang “I Put a Spell on You” energetically and even sang the final notes for Haley Reinhart.

Abrams, 20, was earlier saved by the judges and a restaurant section was named after him.

Meanwhile, top performers on Thursday night include American Idol Season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersox, who sang “Ridin’ With the Radio,” while Grammy‘s ‘Best Male Pop Vocal Performance’ winner Bruno Mars performed “The Lazy Song”.

With Casey Abrams out, the remaining American Idol 2011 top 5 finalists are Scotty McCreery, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina and Jacob Lusk. The show’s last two episodes are being set to be on May 24 and 25, 2011.
