Beyoncé Launches Clothes Collection
She’s one of the most stylish ladies within the music industry, so might not come as too much of suprise to know that singer Beyoncé Knowles is launching her own clothing collection in London.
Beyoncé’s collection will features as part of the House of Deréon range, which is available at Selfridges. She’s known for her eye-catching on stage ensembles, as well as her outlandish music video attires, so fashion critics will certainly be keen to take a look at what this songstress has to offer. But will it all be elaborate stage-worthy creations? Will there be anything suitable for the average consumer to wear to the gym or whilst relaxing with games of Partypoker.com ES. Whilst the collection claims to be inspired by Beyoncé’s own wardrobe, it is also reported to feature a number of more wearable ‘streetwear’ style pieces.
However, we can still expect to see plenty of glamour within this collection, which Beyoncé worked with the House of Deréon Creative Director Tina Knowles – who also happens to be her mother – in order to create. The collection is also reported to include a number of dresses, jumpsuits and shorts, which incorporate Beyoncé’s signature tribal-inspired style.
The first promotional pictures from the campaign have already been released, and feature Miss Knowles sporting high-waisted spandex hotpants, and a cropped graphic print t-shirt. The collection is certainly one of the most highly anticipated of the Autumn/Winter 2011 season, and one which is likely to be popularity with fashion and music fans alike. The House of Deréon motto is ‘Couture.Soul.Kick’ – one which certainly seems to have been embraced by Beyoncé throughout her impressive career.
