Arkham Asylum: BAFTA 2010 Best Video Game

This year, there are a lot of Awards popping out, giving various recognitions in various fields. We were used to hear awards in the field of music and movies. This is somewhat unusual but awards for video games also exists.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has separated the BAFTA Games Awards in 2003 to recognized lofty computer and video games. The awards is one of the biggest nights in the UK gaming calendar. The winners of 14 of the categories are chosen by industry figures.

This year, it has declared Batman: Arkham Asylum as the Best Game among other nominees which includes Assassin’s Creed II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 10, Left 4 Dead 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is an action-adventure stealth video game based on DC Comics’ Batman for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It was developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics.
