How to Plan a Week in China

How exciting to be going to China for a week. The first thing to do is to sit down and plan. The plan should contain things you want to do, places you want to visit and things that you might need to bring with you. Now, what everyone tends to forget is that you will need to plan how to leave your place (house or flat) to make sure it is secure when your departure date is here. A new trend is to  delete emails you receive during holidays with a reply message saying you will be away but will return on a particular date. This is so that you won’t have millions of emails in your inbox when you return.

 Tips on Planning a Trip

Here are a few things to consider for your plan to travel in the Orient:

  1. Find out what the weather will be like so that you know how to pack and what clothes to bring on your trip.
  2. Find or purchase an electronic translator to bring with you in case you need to translate or look for a word to communicate.
  3. Research places to visit and things to do that you might be interested in
  4. Contact a China travel specialist to assist you in planning.

I particularly like the idea of having a China travel specialist to contact as I might have some idea of what I would like to see but the specialist would be able to gear the activities and destinations to my liking and expectations. I would also love to take a tour so I will check out how to plan my tour online.

What to do

This is where a travel guide would come in handy. There are many things to do when you travel in the Orient. Doing a little research helps. There are a variety of travel options when you visit China: high speed bullet trains, overnight trains, river cruises, and local flights within the country. There are many options when setting up an itinerary, so it might be a good idea to find out about the guided tours that are on offer online. You will find there are tours that are self-guided, custom tailor-made and also private tours.

Trip for a Week

If I were to book a trip for a week in China I would try to get the most out of the trip.
Here are a few destinations that I came up with that I would include in my travel itinerary:

  • l Mount Wuyi: to go rafting and backpacking
  • Hongcun Ancient Village: beautiful views, walks, backpacking and encounters with the local farmers.
  • Echoing Sand Mountain in the Gobi Desert
  • Bamboo boat cruise in Yangshuo.
  • Water Sports in Yalong Bay: great place to visit to relax by the beach and get involved in water sports.
  • Sand pillars of Wulingyuan. The pillars are said to have been the inspiration for the Avatar movie director for the pillars on the planet Pandora. One of the pillars has been renamed as Mount Hallelujah, after the name of the pillar in the movie.
  • Jilin, Heaven Lake: This lake is considered the Loch Ness of China. Visitors have reportedly seen a monster in the lake of up to 20m long. Beautiful views but can be cold.

There is so much more to see but I will leave that up to you to share. The list above are interesting places that maybe you and I can identify with travelling to China from Europe.  It is best to try to get a guided tour at some places but then allow yourself to explore the wonderful treasures that can be found when you travel to the Orient. Good planning will pay off so set up a tick list and go through the different things you need to think about to make your trip the best experience. Troy vs South Carolina Live on NCAA College Football

The Troy Trojans are second in the Sun Belt conference and this is the only game they will have this season against a ranked team. The Trojans have surely prepared for this big game and they will throw everything in order to defeat number 17 South Carolina which is first in the SEC-East. Troy is ahead in passing yards and they are not far when it comes to rushing yard. I believe that a win by the Trojans on this game is very possible.

South Carolina Gamecocks is at 7-3 and 5-3 SEC. They won last week against then number 22 Florida by a huge margin. Their biggest win so far this season is when they defeaten then number 1 Alabama and showed everyone that they have what it taked. Today, they will be against an unranked opponent that has the capability to defeat them.

The Trojans will be figting for glory today while South Carolina is searching for a third win in as many meetings in this series after beating Troy in 2004 and 2005. Currenlt however, the Trojans is the nation’s 13th-best passing team averaging close to 300 yards per game. South Carolina will be in a tough spot today.

Watch out as we give updates on the Troy Trojans vs South Carolina Gamecocks NCAA football game today.

Purdue is on a downhill with four straight losses and two of those losses came from ranked teams. They lost to then number 10 Ohio State, 49-0 and then two weeks after they lost once more to another ranked team, then number 9 Wisconsin 34-13. Today they are acing another ranked team, number 12 Michigan State.

Michigan State had been flawless until they faced then number 18 Iowa. They were defeated handily by Iowa with a game score of 37-6. Despite the defeat the Michigan State Spartans is still number 1 in the Big Ten standings. This team is avoiding another surprise from any team be it ranked or not.

The last two games for Michigan State is a giveaway of sorts. This one is hardly a battle since most experts know the result already. Nex week the results will be out sooner than you expected as they face Penn State.

Michigan State had been on a roll against Purdue. In their last thtee consecutive meetings, Purdue has won the game easily. Added to this fact is that their receiver-kick had indeed returned. Keshawn Martin will be seen back in action after he was ask to rest for two games due to an ankle injury.

Last season, Michigan State defeated Purdue, 40-37. In that game MArtin set up the game-winning field goal with an 84-yard kickoff return.

Who will win in this game between Michigan State Spartans and Purdue Boilermakers? Check out for updates soon.

Tracy Caldwell may have ended her tour of duty at the International Space Station on September 2010 but she had left amazing shots of the Earth at night. The shots shows the beauty of the night lights as an astronaut sees it from way up there. Caldwell sees the view right through the window of the Cupola window bay aboard International Space Station.

Caldwell began his duty at the Intenational Space Station April 4, 2010 and ended September 25, 2010. During her tenure she has completed three spacewalks for almost three hours of EVA to replace a malfunctioning coolant pump.

One of the amazing Eath photos which Tracy Caldwell has shares is an image which shows the lights of Italy and the island of Sicily. The photo was taken from the window of the Cupola window bay aboard the International Space Station.

Before her International Space Station duty she was also aboard STS-118, Space Shuttle Endeavor. After that she was assigned to the ISS for a total of 176 days duty as part of the Expedition 24 crew. Daniel Radcliffe Says Its His Final Harry Potter Movie

In case J.K. Rowling decides to continue her Harry Potter series and create a new twist, the movie about it will surely not include Daniel Radcliffe. Radcliffe who had been part of the highly successful film for ten years is finally planning to move out of his Harry Potter tag.

Radcliffe also confirmed that he had heard Rowling talking about a possinle continuation of the series and he said that if that happens he and Rowling will definitely have a long conversation.

“If they did actually do another film I don’t think I’d be on board. No. I think ten years is enough,” says Radcliffe.

So what will Daniel Radcliffe miss about Harry Potter? Well, according to him one of the things he will surely miss will be fellow co-starts Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

“I certainly choked up when we wrapped. I was crying and so were Emma and Rupert at the end along with the crew, who also had been there for ten years. It was very sad.”

Bowling Green vs Toledo Live NCAA College Football Coverage

The Toledo Rockets are aiming to get the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic Conference by winning against Bowling Green. Toledo is 2nd in MAC at 5-1 while Bowling Green is fifth at 1-5. Their nearest rival Miami (OH) seems to have a problem with their game against Akron today. The game between the two had been very close and it looks like Miami (OH) might lose the game and when they do Toledo for sure will take on the lead.

Toledo came from a lost last week. They lost 65-30 to Northern Illinois. Toledo also failed to step up against one of the most eligible teams in NCAA College football, Boise State since they also lost in that game 57-14. Today they are facing an opponent which in calculated terms they can easily defeat. These past weeks however it seems the teams who are seemed underdog turns out to be the dominant team and defeat the better teams. Our suggestion to Toledo is to really keep their team concentration until the last quarter.

Bowling Green Falcons have little luck this season. Their only two wins came from a win against Central Michigan 17-14 and Marshall 44-28. It seems that this season they will be resting out again at the bottom of the MAC with better prospects for next season.

Here are the box scores so far for Bowling Green vs Toledo on NCAA College football:

First Quarter: 11:05 Bowling Green – Terrance Owens pass complete to Eric Page for 48 yards for a TOUCHDOWN. Bill Claus extra point BLOCKED; 8:58 Bowling Green – Terrance Owens pass complete to Kenny Stafford for 33 yards for a TOUCHDOWN. Two-point conversion attempt, David Pasquale pass FAILED; 7:14 Bowling Green – Eric Page pass complete to Tim Cortazzo for 35 yards for a TOUCHDOWN. Bill Claus extra point GOOD.

Game Score: 19-0 Toledo Rockets

Cam Newton NCAA College Football Scandal Continues

The scandal which links Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, his father and alleged sell-off to Mississippi State continued to roll as both FBI and NCAA investigation dig into the allegations and incident. The FBI recently talked to John Bond, a former Mississippi State player who helped sparked the NCAA’s investigation on Newton. According to Bond’s attorney, their client will fully cooperate with both the NCAA and the FBI.

According to Bond, Newton’s father asked for $180,000 in exchange for Newton’s signing with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The man who had been talking with Newton’s father was identified as Kenny Rogers (not the singer). Rogers is expected to appear at the NCAA investigation panel soon according to Doug Zeit, Roger’s attorney.

Cecil, Newton’s father had been negotiating for a $100,000 to $180,000 in cash and/or benefits in order for Newton to sign up for the Bulldogs. However, Mississippi State refused the offer since according to NCAA rules, “the solicitation of cash or benefits by a prospective student-athlete or another individual on his or her behalf is not allowed under NCAA rules.” Scott Stricklin, Mississippi State athletic director already released in a statement confirming the allegations however the amount was not expressly stated.

Despite the allegations, Auburn defended Cam Newton saying that Newton is an “eligible student-athlete.” They also contended that since it was not confirmed whether Newton did acknowledge the acts of his father, it would be premature to really condemn Newton on such allegations.

Cam Newton’s latest show of power and strength came over Auburn’s latest win against Georgia last week.

NFL Week 10 is almost over and the results are now final except for the final game later today. Monday Night Football will feature Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins at 8:30pm Eastern on ESPN.

This week the Buffalo Bills finally made their first ever win and it came at the expense of the Detroit Lions. The win nearly escaped the Buffalo Bills once again but I suppose the team had learned a lot from their previous games. Now they have guarded their lead well but luckily the Lions did not manage enough offensive to make a comeback on the last quarter. The Lions made a last ditch effort in the fourth quarter scoring 9-0 but in the end the Bills prevailed, 14-12.

Houston Texans are suffering from a late season glitch and they lost once again. The Jacksonville Jaguars outscored the Texans in the second and fourth quarter while the Texans managed to outscore them on the third. Maurice Jones of the Jaguars made two touchdowns in the second quarter to lead the scoring at 14-0. Houston Texans drops to 4-5 while Jacksonville Jaguars improves to 5-4. The final game score 31-24.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys surprised the New York Giants when they defeated them, 33-20. The defense of the Cowboys worked against the Giants and they never outscored the Cowboys in any quarter in fact during the last quarter no one was able to score. Looking at the scoring of the Dallas Cowboys nobody dominated the touchdowns, the scoring was well distributed. The Giants now drops to 6-3.

The Arizona Cardinals still fails to get their rhythm going as they suffer their fourth successive defeat in the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks outscored them in all quarters as they win 36-18.

Here is the complete NFL Week 10 Scores and Results.

Baltimore Ravens vs Atlanta Falcons

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos Live Coverage on CBS

Both teams are in unfavored territories. The Kansas City Chiefs have won less road games than at home while the Denver BRoncos have lost most of their games at home. Well, win-loss statistics would not matter that much for a Broncos team that just made two victories so far this season, one against Seattle Seahwaks and the other against Tennessee Titans.

Kansas City Chiefs is number 1 in the NFL when it comes to rushing yards however they are 30th inpassing yards, an area where the Denver Broncos exell and is 3rd in the NFL. The Chiefs just came out from their third loss via overtime last week against the Oakland Raiders 23-20. During this game the Chief will try to avoid another loss while the Broncos will try to exploit on their weakness.

Denver Broncos is weak on defense and this is the area which the CHiefs might really pull away and exploit. During this game we will be seeing more of Kansas City CHiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe who had made a touchdown reception in four consecutive games. Another Kansas City CHiefs player, Tamba Hali just needs one more sack to surpass his career high of 8.5.

If there is one positive thing about the situation of Denver Broncos in this game, it will be a fresh team just coming from a Bye. They are 15-6 after a bye. Denver also has Denver’s Brandon Lloyd which leads the NFL with 17 catches of 20-plus yards.

Who will prevail in this game? Will the Kansas City Chiefs be derailed once more. Let us take a look at this prediction fro the Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos NFL 2010 game.

Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars Live Coverage on CBS

Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars had shown good games at the start of the season but slowly as the season progresses they suffered crucial defeats which makes their status as a Super Bowl contender very questionable. The Jaguars and the Texans lacks solid defense which has then been exploited by their opponents.

The Texans and the Jaguars are both at 4-4. Both of them are also third in the AFC South standings and with a win in this game and a possible loss of either Tennessee Titans or Indianapolis Colts theu might just be in contention for the conference title.

This is a crucial game for both teams and a win here could really give either of them a big chance to get a playoff game. Though many are doubting the Houston Texans, I think that their strength and capacity as a theme is really genuine.

NFL’s record for rushing touchdown this season was at 12 and is recorded by the Houston Texans. Another favorite from Houston Texans which can help them today was Andre Johnson which had made 76 career receptions against Jacksonville.

Who will take home the win today between Jacksonville and Houston? Watch the game live on CBS and also watch out for Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars game updates later.
