NFL Week 11 Results

The game between the new York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles had been the last game for the exciting Sunday football games. The Eagles win over the Giants 27-17 on a very exciting football game. Meanwhile, there are some developments in the NFL week 11 results however these are not very major and I think there will be no major changes in the rankings next week.

This week the Buffalo Bills managed to get their second win as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, 49-31. The Bengals dominated the first half a score of 31-14. The Buffalo Bills however take on a revenge on the second half and prevented any score from the Bengals. The game ended with each following quarter nil for the Bengals and 14 and 21 respectively for the Bills.

Houston Texans continue their decline this week. The Texans added another loss in their column since they were defeated this week by the New York Jets 30-27. It was a very close game but in the end the better team indeed prevailed. It was pretty predictable for all other teams in the top of the rankings as they defeated lower rank opponents.

The New England Patriots escaped a defeat from Indianapolis Colts, 31-28 which will make the Boston based Patriots stay on top of the ESPN Power rankings. It was a pretty good game but they were lucky since the Colts did not manage to get another touchdown in the fourth quarter.

NCAA College Football: Kansas vs Oklahoma State

Number 10 Oklahoma State is now within the Top 10 of the BCS standings courtesy of a rare win against nemesis Texas. Today’s game might be called as the calm before the storm because next week they will be facing former BCS number 1 Oklahoma. Oklahoma drops to number 14 after their successive defeats, however they might just be waiting to ambush Oklahoma State as a sending out gift.

Kansas Jayhawks is 1-1 in its game against ranked teams this season. They defeated then number 15 Georgia Tech 28-25 during week 2 of the NCAA football season. Last week however, they llost to then number 8 Nebraska, 20-3. The Jayhawks seems to be in the hardest road ending the season because their last three games are all against ranked teams. They will be facing number 15 Missouri next week for the season ender games.

Kansas has an advantage against Oklahoma State. Their personal head to head match was 29-28-3. Oklahoma had the advantage recently though winning five of six since the Big 12 was formed in 1996, including victories in all three matchups in Lawrence.

Oklahoma State Cowboys are on top of the Big 12 standings but they are still way down the BCS rankings. This team holds the top FBS offense at 547.5 yards per game and added to that is their player, Weeden throwing for a school-record 3,319 yards and 27 touchdowns. He has topped 400 passing yards three times this year and is four TD passes from matching Josh Fields’ school record of 31, set in 2002.

Can Oklahoma State cruise in its last two games without a loss or will Kansas deliver them another defeat and prepare for their last game in contemplation.

Watch out as we get updates for the Kansas vs Oklahoma State NCAA football game.

NCAA College Football: Fresno State vs Boise State

Last week the Fresno State Bulldogs nearly defeated then number 21 Nevada. Nevada escape by a thin margin of a single point. Last week’s game show the power of the Bulldogs and how they can rally their way into any team. The game last week was a trade of opportunities but in the last quarter it was a chilling end. Could the game today be the same as last week and would Fresno State be the first team this season to hand over a defeat to Boise State.

Boise State Broncos is still undefeated at 9-0. Many says that the BCS rankings is being unfair to the team since they should had been ranked number 1 already. Despite the number 4 ranking the team is very eager to maintain a clear and perfect season and go to the BCS and become this years champions.

Hungry for a win against a ranked team, the Fresno State Bulldogs are determined to break the hunger for a win. Their last win against a ranked team was in the 2004 Computers Bowl in Boise where they defeated then number 18 Virginia. Last weeks loss to Nevada was their 12th consecutive loss to a ranked team.

It was also way back in 2007 when Fresno State lost all four road games against Boise State by an average of 34.5 points. The last time Fresno State won against Boise State was in 1984. In the past nine meetings between these two teams, the Bulldogs only won a single game and that is the 27-5 victory in 2005.

Can the Fresno State Bulldogs pull a win this time around? Will we see the first loss of Boise State Broncos? Watch out for game updates for the Fresno State vs Boise State NCAA football game.

NCAA College Football Week 12: Ohio vs Temple

We are now on the NCAA College Football Week 12 and to beep up the week we have a game between two top Mid-Atlantic Conference opponents, Ohio Bobcats vs Temple Owls. Both teams are 5-1 when it comes to their conference standings and it is about time that one of them bows down to the other. It seems however that neither of them want to budge and thus we are seeing a very tight game between the two here at Lincoln Financial Field.

The first quarter is over and so far we have one touchdown from Ohio’s Vince Davidson who rushes for 5 yards for the touchdown. Matt Weller made the extra point. The first touchdown of this game was made with 5:38 on the first quarter. Temple made their own touchdown with 13:07 in the second quarter through Matt Brown rush for 1 yard and Brandon McManus made the extra point.

These two teams have quite a long winning streak. Ohio has its record at six straight wins while Temple has four. Both of these teams also failed to win against a ranked opponent however that does not matter as long as they become champions in their conference. Then number 23 Penn State defeated Temple on Sept. 25 while then number 2 Ohio State defeated Ohio on Sept. 18.

There will be one more game for both of these teams on Week 13 in which most of the other NCAA football teams ends the NCAA football 2010 season. The final games will be on November 27 but for the two it will be on the 23rd and 26th respectively. Temple Owls will face Miami (OH) Redhawks while Ohio Bobcats meets Kent State Golden Flashes.

Standby for more updates on the Ohio vs Temple NCAA football game on Week 12 of NCAA College football.

GAME UPDATE/S: Ohio Bobcats leads 14-10 at half time after Boo Jackson pass complete to Riley Dunlop for 16 yards for a touchdown and Matt Weller’s extra point. Temple Owls made a field goal courtesy of Brandon McManus from 45 yards.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts NFL Football Week 10

PHILADELPHIA - NOVEMBER 07: Peyton Manning #18 of the Indianapolis Colts throws a pass against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 7, 2010 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)

The Indianapolis Colts had never lost at home but the Cincinnati Bengals had a strong advantage as well when they are on the road. A perennial losing team will be facing a team which had won more than double that of the Bengals. These two teams will meet today in the NFL football game at the Lucas Oil Stadium. At the end of this game only one team will be victorious.

A lost will be heavier if it would occur to the Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis and Tennessee shares the leadership in the AFC South standings and a defeat will just make them fall in the conference standings. Tennessee Titans is also facing a formidable opponent today, the Miami Dolphins.

Cincinnati Bengals have already suffered five straight losses and this is looking to be their sixth straight loss but the fans of the Bengals are still corrsing their fingers that during this match they will see the power of their team. Another loss and they might as well say goodbye to their NFL chances.

What the Bengals should worry is that they will be facing a superb player like Peyton Manning and their lack of any pass rush and sudden decline in their coverage skills will not be very helpful. Though neither team are very good in running the ball, the Bengals might pull this one off if they will allow Cedric Benson every opportunity to get back on track against a softer Colts front. C

Some trivia for the CIncinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts, here goes …. Bengals are 15-3 when Carson Palmer has at least three touchdown passes in a game. Meanwhile, Cincinnati’s Terrell Owens has a touchdown reception in five consecutive games.

In previous meetings, the Colts have won five straight games at home against the Bengals plus their coach, Jim Caldwell has a 10-1 record at home.

Watch out for Cincinnati Bengals vs Indianapolis Colts updates here. Now here is a quick preview from Football Gameplan 2010.

Miami Dolphions had not won a single game at home and now they will be hosting the Tennessee Titans in a game that could mean another loss for them. Both of these teams came from a defeat last week and both are trying to pick up from an unwanted loss and indeed one of them will get the victory tonight.

Tennessee Titans suffered a defeat at the hands of San Diego Chargers, 33-25 while the Miami Dolphins was defeated by the Baltimore Ravens, 26-10. Can the Dolphins score a victory against a strong Titans team?

Chris Johnson will debut today for the Titans so expect a stronger game for Tennessee. The Titans have also won six consecutive November games and this might be a good start since they are fresh from a Bye week. The loser here will suffer a tiebreaking blow likely to keep it out of the postseason. Expect a very physical game as well from these two teams.

Players to watch today includes Tennessee’s Vince Young who has the second-best passer rating in the AFC, and for the Miami Dolphins watch out for running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown who ranks second and third in franchise history in rushing touchdowns.

Let us catch a quick preview on the Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins NFL game courtesy of Football Gameplan.

New York Jets vs Cleveland Browns NFL Live Coverage

Is Cleveland Browns doing a late season resurrection? It is interesting to note that Cleveland Browns have defeated to top teams in succeeding weeks. They toppled former Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints on October 24, 30-17 and then after their Bye week they surprised top placer New England Patriots, 34-14. Both of their victories are not close but are convincing victories. Today the Browns will face another top team, the New York Jets.

Is the New York Jets prepared for the comebacking Cleveland Browns? Last week they suffered their second victory during the season via an 8-0 defeat from the Green Bay Packers. It was a low scoring game and seems both team had been more eager on defense. Today they will face a team which seems to have found both their offensive and defensive strategy. The Jets would avoid a second loss while the Cleveland Browns want to extend their winning streak and catch up with the pack.

The Jets have won seven consecutive games on the road and they will definitely want to add this one to that winning column. They also had a very strong player against the Cleveland Browns, New York’s LaDainian Tomlinson. Tomlinson has eight rushing touchdowns agaisnt the Browns.

CLeveland Browns however had an inside look at the New York Jets through their own team members. They will be starting with four former Jets on defense. Cleveland also has Peyton Hillis who is tied for third in the NFL with seven rushing touchdowns.

WIll the Clevaland Browns do a third upset in a row? This will be an exciting question that would be answered later today. Meanwhile here is Hammerin’ Hank talks Jets odds against the Browns.

San Diego State vs. TCU NCAA College Football 2010 Live Coverage on Versus

TCU Horned Frogs are unbeaten both in the overall NCAA football standings and in the conference standings. This team is well on the road to a perfect season and if they will defeat San Diego State Aztecs today they would have win past their biggest opponents. TCU defeated then number 5 Utah last week in a game that was totally dominated by them, 47-7. Can they dominate again today against San Diego State?

San Diego State Aztecs started its four game winning streak by defeating then number 23 Air Force 27-25 and since then they had been well in the football field. Today and next week will be the toughest of games for the Aztecs. After today’s game they will be facing number 14 Utah and a win on these two games might just move them up into the official rankings table.

TCU had been dominating San Diego State for quite some time. In their last five meetings, TCU outscores the Aztecs by an average of 28.8 points. Just last season TCu defeated San Diego State, 55-12. The Horned Frogs rolled up 551 yards as Andy Dalton passed for 239 yards with two touchdowns and also ran for two scores.

Dalton is a player which TCU must protect and not over used since he is one of the major reason why TCU is such in a very good season. He passed for a career-high 355 yards and three touchdowns against Utah, giving him 14 TDs to one interception in six MWC games. The Frogs, first in the league with averages of 41.4 points and 492.9 yards of total offense, are outscoring their conference opponents 236-23.

Will TCU Horned Frogs stay undefeated or will the San Diego State Aztecs deliver their first defeat this season? Watch out for San Diego State vs TCU NCAA College football game update later.

Virginia Tech at North Carolina NCAA College Football 2010

When Virginia Tech Hokies started the season they suffered two immediate defeats from then number 3 Boise State, 33-30 and James Madison, 21-16. Everyone thought that Virginia Tech will be one of the lowest performing teams in the season, however they will prove others wrong as those two defeats had been the only defeats they had so far. In fact they have defeated then number 23 North Carolina State and at present they are on a record seven winning streaks.

Meanwhile, North Carolina Tar Heels proved their football teams tenacity when they delivered an upset to then number 24 Florida State, 37-35. They trailed during the first quarter but then they scored 21 points during the second quarter and never trailed again.

Virginia Tech remains to be the only unbeaten team in the ACC and their opponent today, the North Carolina Tar Heals are just two games behind them. A win by North Carolina today will give them a big chance to catch up and perhaps get a chance at the conference title.

In order to defeat Virginia Tech, North Carolina should play on their weakness. Virgina Tech’s main man Wilson will be out and thus they need a lot of good plays from Tyrod Taylor. Taylor completed 15 of 25 passes for 137 yards with one touchdown and one interception last week.

Can North Carolina derail the strong showing of Virginia Tech or will they be the ones derailed? Standby for game updates from the Virginia Tech vs North Carolina NCAA football game.

Iowa at Northwestern NCAA College Football 2010

Northwestern maybe unranked but they can defeat an Iowa team who had been dwindling their offense and defense in their last couple of games. Iowa Hawkeyes was nearly defeated by Indiana last week 18-13 and three weeks ago they were defeated by Wisconsin, 31-30.

Northwestern has three more games left and two of those against ranked teams in the Big Ten. Aside from the game today they will be facing another Big Ten powerhouse Wisconsin on November 27. The Wildcats has the power to defeat rivals in the Big Ten but it seems they are executing the play at a bad timing and are allowing other teams to outmatch them. Their first game against a ranked team, then number 7 Michigan State resulted in defeat 35-27.

The big lesson had been shared to Iowa when they were defeated last year by the same team they are facing today. Way back November 7, 2009, Iowa plays host to unranked Northwestern and during that time they were undefeated at 9-0. During the football game Iowa committed four turnovers and lost their quarterback Ricky Stanzi for the rest of the regular season to an ankle injury. Northwestern defeated them 17-10.

Between Iowa and Northwestern previous games, the later has won four of their last five games however, the visiting team has won the last four. I am predicting that Northwestern will once again defeat Iowa in this game.

As we await the game updates from the Iowa vs Northwestern game let us watch this Video Blog as Northwestern’s Justan Vaughn talks about suffering a concussion in last week’s game.
