Abbas to Obama: Impose peace deal

Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas calls on US to impose on peace deal

RAMALLAH,West Bank–Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas today called on US President Barack Obama to “impose” a solution to the unending conflicts in the Middle East. This signals the Palestinians’ growing frustration after nearly two decades of failed negotiations with Israel to give his people an independent state.

“Mr. President [Barack Obama] and members of the American administration, since you believe in this [an independent Palestinian state], it is your duty to take steps toward a solution and to impose this solution,” Abbas said in a speech.

In a speech to leaders of his Fatah movement in the West Bank city of Ramallah a day after talks there with Obama’s Middle East envoy, the Palestinian president says he’s against the establishment of a Palestinian state within temporary borders.

“Mr President and members of the American administration, since you believe in this [an independent Palestinian state], it is your duty to take steps toward a solution and to impose this solution.”,Abbas said.

  1. Peace will be possible in the Middle East when we realize who we are in the universe. We are all connected to each other and connected to our environment. Let us show respect and care for all people, and honour our differences. I launched the Ubuntu Peace Project in South Africa to help end violence, crime, corruption and poverty; and to share the power in striving towards peace, and peaceful solutions as opposed to “fighting against” what we don’t want. 2. Dear President Obama:

I am hopefull and optimistically guarded that a Tier V will be passed in the Senate and signed by you. I haven’t gotten any unemployment since March 31st of this year. I can’t look for work physically because I have no money and no family support. I am a single African American female eduacated with a B.S.W. from WSU.
However, even with credential like this an a C.A.C. license it still hard to find work here in Mich. Please help!!! I do want to work but need resources to look for a job. It’s impossible to do this without money to get on a bus. I don’t have a car!!

    Sincerely.
